  • Terminator 2 was the best.
  • Terminator 1 was a close second.
  • Terminator Rise of the Machines (3) young adult John Conner was tolerable, more of the same but Arnold is past his prime.
  • Terminator Salvation (4) the story of adult future John Conner is ok, but not really memorable.

Agreed. The movies after Rise of the Machines were meh at best.

I didn't know they had a trailer for T6 and just checked it out.

Feelsbadman lol. I dig MacKenzie as a terminator though. They should have killed this franchise years ago or waited decades like Blade Runner.

Agree... trailer did not make this movie look good at all. Watched Terminator growing up, not sure about this one

A precursor to The Matrix.

Just watched "Rampage" with my son on Prime. I thought it was a good Dwayne Johnson flick. Lots of action, funny dialogue and humour. And action. Lots of action! Not an Oscar movie, but a good action flick!

Just watched "The Gauntlet". Definitely not one of Clint Eastwood's better films.

Does it have any nods to the game? Like eating the guy in the bathtub.

I think I'll rewatch Hanna tonight since @Huntn brought it up last week in the TV thread. I'll probably grab the show on Prime after.

Hanna is on my list to watch, I should probably watch it. There is both a movie and a series.

Is this a Mighty Joe Young remake I wonder?

It does indeed have nods to the game! There's even a couple of scenes where the original Rampage arcade machine appears in the background of the villains office! And George (the albino gorilla) actually eats someone in the same fashion as in the game! It really was an enjoyable flick! Especially as a fan of the game!

No, not a remake of Mighty Joe Young, (that would be a cool one, but the original is already better than the one remake they did do). It's a straight up homage to the video game of the same name.

I think I fell asleep at the theatre. Glad you enjoyed it!

Watched "Son of Batman" with the family. Great animated flick based on the comics. The DC animated movies excel where the live versions sometimes fail fans. Good animation, great stories and good voice actors, (Morena Baccarin as Talia Al Ghul was inspired). These animated flicks just keep getting better! If you like the DCEU you'll love the animated movies.

Rewatched the Fifth Element. It's probably my most watched film and my favorite. All the sets and costumes are top notch and the SFX hold up for the most part. It was my first time watching it in 4K, so crispy.

Any verdict on Hellboy (2019)?

At Rotten Tomatoes 17% Critic rating, 58% audience rating. I was turned off by the makeup in the trailer that looked like some guy at a party who made himself up as Hellboy, and did a second rate Ron Pearlman Hellboy imitation. It could be a matter of imprinting. :)

Yeah.

I've not gotten around to the new one.

Maybe one day.
