Elections should be like the Hunger Games. 30 candidates, who survives can lead the country ;)
You have to admit it's amusing to see current POTUS go ape on his Twitter. Kind of like those videos of bratty kids getting punished or their computer smashed in by a parent. Politicians are a joke. I'm fairly convinced they haven't matured mentally.

I find it distressing. Of course I’m remembering how it used to be.

Very well made thriller/suspense film. Loved the look and texture of the movie.

You know that feeling when you're trying to tell someone something urgent and they don't believe you? Thats the kind of feeling this movie evokes.

Just saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Pretty good movie but as a Tarantino fan, it's his most vanilla but probably his most accessible. Least amount of racism and swearing here lol.

I wish the movie was longer, it had a fantastic cast but barely anyone had screen time. It was great to see Margaret Qualley in a big role, the Leftovers is my fave.

Edit: Also the first Dolby Cinema (AMC) movie I've seen, what a sound system.

It was the first time I'd been in a theater since No Country For Old Men.

I recently watched A Scanner Darkly. I was impressed with how well it followed the book, though I do think it gave away big clues to the "twist" at the end a little too early (the book hints at it much more subtly).

The movie, despite being "sci-fi" is really a strong anti-drug film and seems especially relevant in the midst of the opioid crisis.

Looking forward to what The Matrix 4 will be about.

I kind of hope they explore “it was him who freed the first of us.” I was actually thinking they should do a prequel about this very topic, just a couple of months ago. I think that would be an excellent story to tell, which would lead us to what became the first Matrix movie.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I Was looking forward to seeing it. Not so much now. A review.

https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...venge-fantasies-once-upon-a-time-in-hollywood

What a stupid article and review. The reviewer doesn't even understand that a good part of the movie is precisely about men that are perceived as strong (in movies) while in reality they are totally weak, imperfect, and fragile. It is also a tale of friendship. The characters are puerile because the movie is showing that admired people (like actors) are indeed puerile. The freaking reviewer even spoils the ending (PLEASE ADD A SPOILER ALERT).

John Carter - watching again - one of my favorites - Tars Tarkas is such a cool alien

I loved it, too bad the ad campaign destroyed it.

Wargames is so well written, with such great characters and performances it holds up, even with the really dated computer tech (that for the time, was a bit of a fantasy).

Love it.

"Mister Potato Head! Mister Potato Head!! Back doors are not secrets!"

"Yeah, but Jim, you're giving away all our best tricks!"

The smile of Alley Sheedy in that scene was... intriguing for me, as a teenager.
