I enjoyed it.
Shane Carruth: Primer (2004)
Four friends working in a garage make a discovery. About 80 minutes of mindf*** ensues.
Third time watching this. It appears I still have very little idea of what is actually happening, and when it's happening. I love this film, and refuse to read explanations for the plot on the internet.
This film should be added to the Time Travel Film Thread ASAP, probably the best time travel movie where the nitty gritty details are important.
The best support material are the complex flow diagrams, this one of my faves (spoiler'd in case you don't want to see it, but a quick peak won't disclose much, if anything ...)

Have you seen Carruth's Upstream Color? It's just as trippy (and also needs a few viewings).
I enjoyed it too. To my mind the unique start with the wonderful play of main characters lost its strength from the middle.I enjoyed it.![]()
Luc Besson: Léon (1994)
It makes a nice companion watch with Besson's La Femme Nikita (also featuring Jean Reno as a "cleaner").
There are, at any given time, a couple of films on my shelf that are pulled out a couple of inches out so that I remember to watch them, and you bet Nikita is one of them at this very moment.
A good film, that one. It would have been cool had Reno's character been named Léon in that one as well, but if memory serves it was Viktor. Still golden.
My "in head canon" is that he just changed his name![]()
I liked it , she looks far better w/o ten pounds of make up.

What a twisted movie!
Hell or High Water. [2016]

Two brothers who scheme to rob banks. Excellent storyline and really well played by Chris pine/Ben Foster. Of course Jeff Bridges is always good.
It’s one of those more ‘low budget’ movies, but I feel like these are the types of movies that make the biggest impact without all the unnecessary CGI.
The first time I watched this I thought prison movie, ehh. I had no clue in advance what a tremendous ending it would have. The Shawshank Redemption is my favourite for decades! Worth watching and inspiring movie
This sounds interesting. I read a blurb at RT: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/primer/Shane Carruth: Primer (2004)

I just put this on now.You will really enjoy it. It’s those melodramatic movies with actors who can make the plot seem as if it was feasible in real life to have a story that plays out like this. Really, the whole movie is excellent.
