Just watched The Adam Project. Really fun movie. Probably the closest we can get to Deadpool joining the MCU at this point in time. :D Ryan Reynolds is just Ryan Reynolds, and Mark Ruffalo is just Bruce Banner. I really miss sci-fi movies like this, just fun and entertaining.

I really liked it was well.

Thought that little kid playing younger "Adam" was pretty funny.

HBO Max - the King's Man
Finally finished the King's Man.
On its own, it's probably an okay-ish movie, but it doesn't seem to be anything special. It feels like it wants to be a mix between mission impossible and James Bond in WW1 era, but none of the charms. And the characters are not fully realized. What's the point of Lancelot showing up?

But then it's under the Kingsman franchise, which is known for the bombastic fighting choreography and eccentric characters. And none of that in this movie. Rasputin is probably the only character that befit the franchise's uniqueness.

When Zemo showed up, I wished I was watching Captain America...

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)- When I first saw the title, on an airplane, terrible sound quality, the trailer did not impress me. I had low hopes, I think because how could they possibly match the original, and almost refused to watch it. But since the wife forced my hand and rented it, ;) I sat down and was immediately drawn in. It’s not a great movie, but it is a fun, nostalgic movie with many of the original stars, including a CGI’d Harold Ramis. This was directed by Jason Reitman, I’ll assume Ivan Reitman’s son and it is a worthy sequel.

Then there is Carrie Coon she has a way of speaking such that The Gilded Age kept flashing in my brain, somewhat interfering with her performance here, and I always like Paul Rudd, the somewhat delinquent scientist, school teacher and good performances by the kids. ? Watch the post credits. :)

This movie hits you in the feels, especially if you are a fan of the original movie. Man, the first 10 minutes. Someone chopping onions in the theater or what?

The movie is good, not great, but man does it bring back memories and hits all the right marks in doing so, for me and the wife anyways.
