I have not, is there any connection to the Thomas Jane version other than a character with the same name? Do they cover his back story in that movie or is it a sequel or sorts?

And how do you feel about Pt2 Quantum of Solice?
Not astonishing like Casino Royale (I consider it the best Craig's 007 movie) but I've appreciated very much the opening heart-pounding pursuit race through the marble quarries of Carrara (and obviously Olga Kurylenko).

Kimi (2022)- Wow!
It’s too short of a movie to take so long to set up, and then it’s over. Here’s a question, what does this movie and The Island have in common and how does this story surpass it? Only answer with spoiler shields. :)

I regard these two movies the best Bond’s ever made in part because they are related stories and illustrates why Daniel Craig’d Bond is better than Sean Connery’s. The former mentioned has a visible heart. ;)

it is another version with the same character... But the movie is very intone with what Garth Ennis did on his run of the Punisher. Very graphic and very no-holds barred. Good stuff!

I actually haven't seen Pt2 yet. I am way behind in my James Bond movies. I loved Casino Royale...
The last 2 disappointed me.

Eternals (2021)- I got interested when I learned the real agenda, but then got bored again. Some characters in this I liked, especially Kumail Nanjiani, and Gemma Chan, but it was too long as compared to the entertainment quotient, and I did not like the approach to telling the story. One my areas of interest in this are the difference between Celestials and Eternals. For example Thanos is an Eternal and Ego is a Celestial.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)- Kinda of a crappy story, but good if you like gutter Marvel and Venom. I liked the humor element. This did a better job of keeping me awake than Eternals. :)

Venom without Spider-Man makes zero sense to me. The whole Venom/Spider-Man/Carnage story arc was always one of my favorites as a kid, and they have managed to take a big steamy pile all over this, the biggest obviously being no Spider-Man. As long as I ignore literally everything it's mildly entertaining. Carnage was just plain awful, though.
There are rumors of Spider-Man being in the third movie as part of the multi-verse ... so there's that I guess.

If you like old Bond movies, don't bother. They Craig movies get progressively worse. He's a horrible Bond and sucked all the fun out of the character.

I rewatched the Hangover recently and was surprised at how well it held up. I still have a few issues with it like the Dentist character being such a whiny little bastard and it being overplayed, but it's super tight and a clever twist on the detective genre.

Actually, I think Pierce Brosnan was a horrible Bond (But then again, so was the directing, so that probably doesn’t help either.) I actually really like Daniel Craig as James Bond. He is dry with his humor, but he has that serious wittiness-satire-ish-smug like attitude that somehow all works together coupled with the suave masculinity that makes him James Bond.

I’m not a hard-core James Bond movie fanatic, but I do appreciate Daniel Craig stepping into the role, I do think he nailed it for the most part, especially being in the shape he is at his age, given the level of physicality Bond movies have.

I just saw The Honeymoon Killers. A truly terrible movie about a man and woman cheating old ladies out of their money by him promising to marry her. Tony Lo Bianco plays the male lead. Martin Scorsese was the director...for a week.

The only reason I picked it up is that they settled for a bit in the town I where I grew up. It's based on a true story.

If you liked Manos, you'll love this.

Watched CODA this evening with the family. It got a few oscar nods and so a clip of Emilia Jones singing Both Sides Now started making the rounds on Twitter. Joni Mitchell gave it high praise even. Anyway I knew I had to give it a view.
It’s really good. So well done on all fronts. Lots of humor to round out the drama. And then there’s the performance of Both Sides Now. It’s incredibly moving and is just brilliantly done. This is a feel good movie that I really needed.
Starting it now...

Just finished Belfast, by Kenneth Branagh.
While we didn't grow up in a place like Belfast, there was so much of it that reflected parts of my own childhood, including a grandfather who was a coal miner, and died too soon.
As well as the time when where I was living became unsafe, so we had to move back to Australia.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)- The last of a great trilogy, the best Spider-Man trilogy, Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, Aunt May, New Goblin, Sandman, Venom, an outstanding non-funny Venom.
