I saw two movies this weekend: Avatar 2: The Way of Water and Joy Ride
I enjoyed both, though they couldn't have been more different from each other. Avatar 2 could've trimmed some of the longest scenes, and it definitely felt like it was setting itself up for a sequel (indeed Avatar 3 is slated for December 2025), but I was hooked the whole time. And Joy Ride, well, it won't be for everyone, that's all I can say about the insanity of that movie.

It's fine, but the first one was far, far better... The script is simply not as tight, so I kinda lost interest at points, which didn't happen before. S. Bullock being on screen would've helped there (lol), but not by much...
Just watched Renfield starring Nicolas Cage, Nicholas Hoult, and Awkwafnia. The movie is a hoot. Over the top is putting it lightly. Fun watch, check your brain at the door, and enjoy.

The Hunt for Red October (1990)- One of the most exciting Tom Clancy military thrillers. Tense from the start. Great performances. It’s been a long time since I read the book and as I remember, some things in the climax were changed.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)- Possibly one of the greatest modern slapstick movies made.

Rampage (2018)- Good, The Rock movie with mutated creatures and mayhem downtown Chicago.
I forgot about that one, I think I'm gonna watch it. I'm always up for a creature feature.
I'm going to see Oppenheimer later this week.
I'm on the fence about Asteroid City. Traditionally, I enjoy Wes Anderson movies, but this almost seems like too much Wes Anderson even for his most ardent fans. But some reviewers say if you're already a fan, you'll like it, but no one else will. I guess I should give it a chance.

I loved it but yeah... almost too much lol.
Not really a spoiler but I don't want to risk it: If you take out the Bryan Cranston parts, they are great, it would be an even better film IMHO.
