Apple Original, pretty watchable. Unusually watched this on my MacBook. 86% battery power after watching a two hour movie. Impressed.
Are you impressed with the film or your MacBook's battery?![]()

Well both actually. Something satisfying about watching a good movie and still having plenty of battery left afterwards. Are you impressed with the film or your MacBook's battery?
Yes a bit of a controversial guy to say the least...wheels of terror
..as one guy put it - this is like a german version of 'the dirty dozen'.
But it is based on a book written in 1952...and for a fascinating background do some research on the author...his life sounds like it would make a great movie.
Oh my goodness, that's a blast from the past, his books were extremely popular here in the UK in the 70s particularly among teenage boys. I just followed your link and I didn't know all that controversy - it doesn't surprise me though and sort of makes sense. Unlike Lord of the Rings etc it might not be the sort of books to revisit 40 years on... (Plus, I'm not sure the cover typography I remember would pass a modern publishers cover meeting nowadays
I thought his name was familiar...
John Carpenter's movies are a triumph. Andy created the platform on the 30 Days concept. baizeI just watched 30 Days of Night. I think if you guys liked John Carpenter's the Thing, you'd dig this one.
Hmmm, yes, perhaps.wheels of terror

Teenage boys, yup, - that is, teenage boys with an interest in history - that is exactly the demographic that these books appealed to.Oh my goodness, that's a blast from the past, his books were extremely popular here in the UK in the 70s particularly among teenage boys. Daniel Craig absolutely nailed Bond's character in this one; cool, extravagant, yet highly capable, dark & dangerous...

I'm not sure which would be more frightening. This week I've lined up Alien 1979, Aliens 1986 and a fascinating series called The MayFair Set (1999) all about arms deals between UK/US (Saudi Arabia), power, corruption, tax, gambling laws etc.
Casino Royale (2016)

Great movie with a amazing cast.
Great premise as well.
As D-Day approaches, Colonel Breed hands the roguish Major Reisman (Lee Marvin) an important assignment: He must train a team of soldiers to parachute across enemy lines and assassinate German personnel at a French chateau. The soldiers, recruited from murderers, rapists and criminals on death row, are promised commuted sentences. In spite of their history, the 12 men prove a spirited and courageous unit. Led by Major Reisman, they will exact revenge.
