"Blink Twice"

Listed as a "psychological thriller" it was mostly a waste of my time and money. I don't know what genre I would list it under, but not that. The ending was something I never saw coming, that's for sure. Starring Channing Tatum and Naomi Ackie on Prime.

Lifeforce (DC)
STALKER
Ghost in the Shell
Under the Skin
Dredd
Phantoms
Pandorum
RoboCop (DC) while you still can the OG 1987, not the hapless remake. Have on disk so rock solid here...
Pitch Black
The Empty Man, not really SciFi but last of 20th Century Fox's films before being bought out by the evil empire...
Supernova
Sphere
Leviathon
Life
Infini
Kill Command
Chappie
Doom
Alien Outbreak
Artic Void
Not SciFi but a must watch - Dust Devil (DC)
Europa Report

Should keep you out of trouble for a spell LOL. Could go on as have well over 2K films on the server, mostly horror & SciFi...

Cold Skin is OK, but more on the Lovecraftian side than SciFi. Passengers not bad, but wilfully & wrongly promoted. Had good production, but felt like a TVM, watched maybe twice gave the disk to a friend.
That list is missing Gattaca. One of the most underrated sci-movies of all time in my opinion.. The movie is incredible and is timeless with the settings and style. Music is amazing as well, done by Michael Nymen. Acting has a young Jude Law, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. The story is also timeless and relevant today as genetic engineering becomes more and more a possibility.

The YouTube video link I posted, there’s an image of a blue woman with glasses sitting on a table with a tablet in her lap, and a dude in white armor standing in front of her. I would assume that this image comes from one of the movies in this video, but I watched it again and see nothing like this in any of the movies. If I had to guess it might be Otherlife or Passengers. This is a long shot, but any ideas what movie that is from? 😳

I looked online to see if there something like “ID this movie”, actually found one, uploaded the image, but it did not ID the movie.
the image looked like clickbate to me, but I could be wrong.

Have that one, a cracking watch as said is timeless. Would be here all day if was to list the content of the server. I went to digital pretty much soon as it was out. Still have some "flipper's" where you have to turn over the DVD to watch the second half of the film. These days I rip to drive and or capture. I want to watch films on my own terms.

Thank you for reminding me. We are so close to the basic situation in that film.

I love this movie. Nice setup but the movie image seems blurry and washed out.

It’s a JVC NX7, calibrated, on 138” AT woven screen. iPhone 14 2 second exposure while movie going, for better screen shots I use my canon R5 on a tripod and freeze the movie to specific scene.
Yea, BR2049 worthy successor to the original.

Flow (2024)

Despite the very low budget, and the development using only free open source software, this animated movie truly delivers. Actually, I hope that giants such as Disney can learn from this.

Flow is a fun, poignant, and intriguing story that follows an unnamed cat through an inspirational adventure of friendship and fear.

One of the most interesting features of the movie is that not a single word is spoken. Zero. It’s all animal verses, animal behavior, and fun action.

This is what good filmmaking is.

@Scepticalscribe I am willing to bet a Chimay that you will love this one.

This is not that, reminds me with similar imagery, but in a different forum, there was talk of Hellraiser and its reboot, what do you think? Based on the plot I read up on and reviews, I don’t think it (the original or remake) would be my cup of tea. 🔥🤔

First two Hellraiser films are good, the rest mostly middling to weak. THB I've not seen the latest film so cant really judge. They are not as shocking as some and tend to be on the more traditional side of horror. If your going to watch I'd stop at the first two, unless a fan...

SciFi Movie reccomendations. Thoughts?

5. Vesper
4. Cold Skin (Amazon)
3. Otherlife (Amazon)
2. Rememory (Netflix)
1. Passenger (Netflix)

Vesper, Other life, and Rememory maybe worthy, but that’s a maybe. Cold skin, I can’t say. :) I saw Passengers at the theater and was disappointed in this because it was deceivingly marketed as a scify thriller, when actually it’s primarily a love story set in space. I should watch it again and give it a second chance.
Vesper didn't impress me much...
