Besides all star casts, William Holden had a great on screen personality for this story and Stalag 17. Yeah back when they made this, audiences would not have been prepared for the actual cruelty, even today, you might not want to watch it. I would not.
Colditz the TV series, superb and the game is free to play if you're up for it.

Is a great film, worthy watch. I like the truth of the matter. Watch The War Game & Threads banned by UK.gov for decades for being far to realistic...

So I really like Viggo Mortensen as an actor (LOTR movies, plays Aragorn).

We watched Green Book. The Green Book was a guide for blacks traveling in the south to find hotels back in 1950s or 1960s. Its a biographical comedy drama about musician Dr. Donald Shirley (played by Maharshala Ali) traveling the south with his driver/fixer Tony "Lip" Vallelonga (Mortensen).

Very enjoyable. Ali was fantastic as well.

I just referred my Physical Therapist to this movie the other day; I loved it! :)

Normally, it would be just another diversion from reality. But with the current state of America, it really hits home that we've lost our way. Suffice it to say, I found Simon's (Joe Pesci) spiel to Pitkannan (Gore Vidal) profoundly edifying. I highly recommend the younger generation watch this movie, or at least learn from Simon. Gen X and Boomers are pretty much set in our ways. We are the Professor Pitkannan. The younger generations are the Monty (Brendan Fraser).
