It could be good PROVIDED they keep the original scene where Han shot first! (I have it on laser disc and it is clear that he shot first.)
I never understood the need to make this change, it served to soften this character which was not needed by any means.

Besides all star casts, William Holden had a great on screen personality for this story and Stalag 17. Yeah back when they made this, audiences would not have been prepared for the actual cruelty, even today, you might not want to watch it. I would not.
Colditz the TV series, superb and the game is free to play if you're up for it.

Is a great film, worthy watch. I like the truth of the matter. Watch The War Game & Threads banned by UK.gov for decades for being far to realistic...

So I really like Viggo Mortensen as an actor (LOTR movies, plays Aragorn).

We watched Green Book. The Green Book was a guide for blacks traveling in the south to find hotels back in 1950s or 1960s. Its a biographical comedy drama about musician Dr. Donald Shirley (played by Maharshala Ali) traveling the south with his driver/fixer Tony "Lip" Vallelonga (Mortensen).

Very enjoyable. Ali was fantastic as well.

I just referred my Physical Therapist to this movie the other day; I loved it! 🙂

Normally, it would be just another diversion from reality. But with the current state of America, it really hits home that we've lost our way. Suffice it to say, I found Simon's (Joe Pesci) spiel to Pitkannan (Gore Vidal) profoundly edifying. I highly recommend the younger generation watch this movie, or at least learn from Simon. Gen X and Boomers are pretty much set in our ways. We are the Professor Pitkannan. The younger generations are the Monty (Brendan Fraser).

Ok, I fully went into watching M3GAN 2.0 think it would kinda suck, etc.
My 19 year old and his girlfriend coaxed me into watching it with them.
Ha, 20 minutes in and I’m like “this ain’t bad, it’s actually decent”, and throughly enjoyed it, I rated it 8/10 on IMDB just now.

None of us saw M3GAN, now we have to.

Wrecking Crew (2026 Prime)
A mediocre, exceedingly violent buddy-comedy action set in Hawaii about 2 estranged brothers (Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa) brought back together by the murder of their father. The action, does not feel realistic, the enjoyability of the banter boils down to individual tolerance and ability to suspend disbelief as they discover the reason behind the murder. However, I will give honorable mention to Morena Baccarin (cause I’ve had a crush on her since Firefly 😉) and Stephan Root (cause I like him as a character actor).

The Rip (2026 Prime)
Not a bad, but not a great police action drama, about a substantial stash of loot in a house which is discovered by a team of officers. “Call it in?” Not so fast…😉 As I describe it, the good is wondering who the good and bad guys are. A solid cast, among then Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon.

Instant buy for me, and I can think of one word to describe it, charming. Excellent sequel:

Watched this tonight, and despite some of the reviews I’ve seen, I really enjoyed it and actually prefer it to the Arny film, you can tell it’s an Edgar Wright film too that’s for sure:

I started to watch it but turned it off after a few minutes, it felt the constant swearing every other word was only there to make up for a weak script. I don’t mind swearing at all, but not when it seems to be used to make up for character flaws or poor scripts, try to make them look tougher. They should develop characters better then that IMO.

Ya know, I'm not a fan of gratuitous cursing either, but I did think the film was pretty good.

:apple: :apple: :apple:

But it didn't need all the F words.

I rented Netflix today so I could watch "The Rip." I was somewhat disappointed but I'll give it three apples for keeping me guessing most of the movie. I noticed you mentioned the excess cussing, which is something I usually notice, but I did not in this movie.

Any of you who have Netflix I would welcome any recommendations as to what I might watch next. I've seen "Stranger Things", "Breaking Bad", and "Homeland". My daughter said she heard "Suits" was a good show. I'd love something new to binge on! 🙂

I liked Suits. But like most shows it list its way towards the end. Worth watching I’d say.

Shameless. Nudity, cursing - you'll notice believe me, drug use, still very touching and funny.

I utterly enjoyed M3GAN with its tongue in cheek humour and daftness, it doesn’t take itself seriously for one second lol. So I loved the fact they made a sequel that is equally the same recipe. Hope they make a third one too fingers crossed, with the same cast and writers.
