The Pianist.

Y'all read the reviews. It's as good as advertised. Just a hard movie to suspend belief and enjoy. I had to take a break a the midway point as the mental burden was getting too much to bear.😢 The is no dramatization, like when the soldiers throw a man in a wheelchair off the balcony. We don't get a close up of him pleading for mercy, no Nazi showing pleasure in the murder. It's all so matter of fact.
I buckled on Prime and went up to top tier just to get rid of commercials and then saw a couple of shows listed that said I'd still get commercials... lol.I watched "Leave No Trace", which was filmed in Oregon about a Vet and his tween-age daughter living off-grid in the Oregon State Parks until they get caught and are put into "the system." It's an okay movie, although a little hard to watch.
I'd give it 3 Apples out of 5.
I'm still irked (and I guess this comes from being on the Internet early when things were free [and even then I called what's happening today] ) but I pay for Prime and then any movie worth watching still costs me another 3 or 4 bucks to rent. I pay for the premium service, I should get to watch the movie at no extra cost. Guess I'm living in the past. 😡

So you couldn't finish in one sitting either, eh? My mental health would suffer severely if I tried.😱 It took me 2 days to finish watching it. The 2nd half is less psychologically traumatizing than the first half, thankfully.i started this yesterday and will likely finish it this evening.
We actually liked it also. It was fun, and really funny in some spots. I can't look at a cheese grater the same after a particular scene.Enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Just basic fun entertainment and I can't think about the "swordfighting" scene without starting to laugh.

Cliche odd couples story with all the elements you'd expect--fish out of water, culture clash, tolerance/acceptance of the other's differences and so on. Two men from opposite ends of the social spectrum with little in common somehow form a lasting bond. Fantastic movie.
On a side note: I learned hew-mons can enjoy oo-mox too.😳
AgreedI watched the rip last night. It was actually really fun movie.
I've seen worse.I also had fun with f1. I got a high end samsung s95f tv, and man that movie is beautiful on a fancy tv. Predictable story yes, but the racing was intense and the visuals pop on the oled. I hope they do baja or non-f1 style racing for the sequel.
