Y'all read the reviews. It's as good as advertised. Just a hard movie to suspend belief and enjoy. I had to take a break a the midway point as the mental burden was getting too much to bear.😢 The is no dramatization, like when the soldiers throw a man in a wheelchair off the balcony. We don't get a close up of him pleading for mercy, no Nazi showing pleasure in the murder. It's all so matter of fact.

It's on my list now.

I watched "Leave No Trace", which was filmed in Oregon about a Vet and his tween-age daughter living off-grid in the Oregon State Parks until they get caught and are put into "the system." It's an okay movie, although a little hard to watch.

I'd give it 3 Apples out of 5.

I'm still irked (and I guess this comes from being on the Internet early when things were free [and even then I called what's happening today] ) but I pay for Prime and then any movie worth watching still costs me another 3 or 4 bucks to rent. I pay for the premium service, I should get to watch the movie at no extra cost. Guess I'm living in the past. 😡

I buckled on Prime and went up to top tier just to get rid of commercials and then saw a couple of shows listed that said I'd still get commercials... lol.

So you couldn't finish in one sitting either, eh? My mental health would suffer severely if I tried.😱 It took me 2 days to finish watching it. The 2nd half is less psychologically traumatizing than the first half, thankfully.

Well, I had to go and talk to our plumber who was installing a new hot water heater. I had to keep getting up and down... so I decided to pause.

Cliche odd couples story with all the elements you'd expect--fish out of water, culture clash, tolerance/acceptance of the other's differences and so on. Two men from opposite ends of the social spectrum with little in common somehow form a lasting bond. Fantastic movie.

On a side note: I learned hew-mons can enjoy oo-mox too.😳

Saw the American version a few months ago. Not bad.

I also had fun with f1. I got a high end samsung s95f tv, and man that movie is beautiful on a fancy tv. Predictable story yes, but the racing was intense and the visuals pop on the oled. I hope they do baja or non-f1 style racing for the sequel.

Wolverine Origins (2009)- In the annals of X-Men this is one of it’s finest chapters, complementing the story arc of X-Men (2000), X-Men United (2003) where there, we meet a Wolverine who has lost his past and traces his admantium origins back to the Alkali Lake lab. This 3 movie arc is great story telling revealing how the beginning of Wolverine started, but watch this one last. 🙂 See X-Men thread for more.

There are so many great performances here:
  • Ryan Reynolds- Wade Wilson (Deadpool)
  • Liev Schreiber- Victor Creed (Sabertooth)
  • Kevin Durand- Fred Dukes (Blob)
  • Taylor Kitsch- Remy LeBeau (Gambit)
  • Lynn Collins- Kayla Silverfox (in the comic, she worked for Hydra)
  • Will I. Am- John Wraith
  • Daniel Henny- Agent Zero
  • Danny Huston- Col Stryker
Of possible interest, in X-Men, Sabertooth is present, and he’s crude, animal like, and in no way is it acknowledged he is Logan’s half brother, who turns into the very articulate, relatively sophisticated sociopath, Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) in Origins. I assume in the movie realm, these were inconsistent creative choices.
