i need a backup for my iphone 4 sometimes i am out and cant charge the phone. what would u recommended as a 2nd phone.

Funny there is this thread cause I was on another forum and we were discussing the same thing. :p

I said I liked the HTC Desire cause of its UI and battery life. The best iPhone backup there is out there, in my opinion. :)

I happen to have one lying around as a backup for my 3GS.

Either get a cheap phone (dumbphone for great battery life) or a batterypack/solar charger

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_4 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8K2 Safari/6533.18.5)

A second iPhone

Well, i would just keep one of those portable battery charger, but to answer your question:

spare AT&T phone:
HTC inspire or Samsung Focus

spare Verizon phone:
droid incredible 2 or HTC trophy

In reality, I would just seriously buy an extended battery pack for iPhone

Hold on, in your other post you mentioned "you do a lot of driving." That means you can charge it from the vehicle.

hi all i do a lot of driving and i was looking for an app that will read text messages out load. i used to use drivesaftly on my bb but i havent found any good ones yet. i am looking for the best app if it can do the speech to text and text to speach it would be great please let me know thank you.

I would use whatever old phone you had that was replaced with the iPhone. If you don't have that then maybe get a used first Gen iPhone they're pretty cheap now.

welfare you going to remove your sim card so you have the right phone number? if so it is going to be a hassle to remove the sim all the time.

Thank you all but I am not looking for battery option I want a nice phone just to use as backup nothing special text and calls

Yes it's true but there are times that I am not driving like in NYC and all I have is subway or taxi so its just a matter of convience. Also sometimes I don't want to have emails all day just to be called to connected I guess
