Got 32GB when the iPad 3 came out, but was only using half so opted to save $100 and move back to 16GB with the Air. Apple really should have increased the base storage to 32GB this time; it's pretty greedy on their part to still ask $600 for 32GB.

I am never getting a top of the line storage iPad again. They are hard to sell, and lose value the worst. People are cheap these days.

Tell me about it, I can't get rid of my ipad 3 64gb 4g for 300€

I got the 128 because I was sick of having to switch out the movies on my 64 mini. But when I replace the mini, I will go to 32 or 64 since the Air will be my primary video device.

32gb worked perfect for me on my iPad 2 for 2 years so saw no reason to change when I bought the Air. Music, photos plus 1 or 2 movies at most and I always have a few gigs to spare.

I got 32 GB (cellular) and it feels really great to suddenly have this much storage.

Not like I can download the entire internet to it, but this is a vast improvement from the 16 GB (WiFi) iPad 2 that I had before.

Long ago I got over thinking I have to have a whole bunch of stuff on my portable devices. I guess it was shortly after iPods started arriving with flash storage instead of hard drives. If my portable device was a primary workhorse, it might be different.

I splurged this time and went for 32 GB in my iPad Air. It's not half full at this point.

128 was set on 64 but switched last minute. I am on my 6th iPhone and 3rd iPad. Each has been the biggest offered. I would really resent running out if space if I skimped on my purchase.

You might as well get a MacBook Pro with retina display, if your going to spend the money on a 128 gig lte iPad, but if you have the money, then power to you.

This is very true and as was also said the resale is lowest in the high end. However I convinced myself it was the best gig/$ ratio the higher you went.

16gb wifi. I never leave the house with it, and stream all music, (purchased) books, magazines, and movies over wifi through Home Sharing and Apple TV. No need to keep anything on the iPad itself except apps.

Edit: actually even apps reside in the cloud, so no need to keep them on the iPad until needed.

If I need something for serious work then I can do it on my MacBook Air. A majority of my work is cloud based anyway.

Out of curiousity, how big are your files you pull from the cloud and much storage space do you have on the cloud?

16gb this time around

Had a 32gb ipad and never ran out of space, didn't even approach 20gb.
My iPhone is 64gb, that's where I have all the pics and music
