My wife was still using my 64Gb iPad 1, so her birthday gift was the new Air with 32Gb. For her usage patterns this was twice her storage needs but we'll both use it on trips and at other times.

It is giving me some time on iOS7 which will help lessen the shock next Fall when I trade in my iPad 3 for the next version of iPad.

Other than the added weight of my iPad 3 it still chugs along nicely on iOS 6.

I used the gift card trade in program at Target ($200) which seemed fair enough since it was an easy no hassle deal.

I was leery of potential screen defects etc. after reading the incidents here on McRumors. Fortunately hers is a pristine unit (knocking on wood).

Out of curiousity, how big are your files you pull from the cloud and much storage space do you have on the cloud?

Most of my work is done on SalesForce which is a cloud based CRM (sales, lead tracking and reporting) and I have 80GB worth of dropbox space which I accumulated from a bunch of promos from Samsung and HTC :)

Downgraded from 64gb to 32gb. No need to put my music or other files on my air. Plus I'm probably only going to keep my air for a year.

So files aren't too large? 50k? 500k? 10mb?

After having had 64GB previously, then to 32GB, I chose a 16GB (LTE) this time around.

Why would I sacrifice so much space? I realized, I just put a ton of games on their and honestly, with that many games I never ended up playing the vast majority of them. So this way, I could save myself some cash, still be able to play the games that I really wanted to play, and have all the normal applications I wanted. Still, if I ever find myself wanting to play a specific game, it's still in the cloud and quickly downloadable.

I was getting a cellular 32gb version until I found out about ATT next. Instead, I opted for 128gb through ATT. By the time the next iPads are out I'll have paid ~$550 which seems like a decent deal to me.

I went from the iPad 1 32GB WiFi Only to the iPad 3 16GB WiFi Only. I now have an iPad 4 64GB Wifi cellular. Next iPad will definitely be either the 64 or 128. If i were to buy today it would probably stick with the 64 with Cellular. If I choose to skip the cellular option, great to have but don't use as much as I thought I would I will then get 128 model.

I've always gone 32gb Wi-fi this time I went 128 cellular. Too much comic reading or not enough so need the space.

Do people keep large music collections on their iPad? A lot of movies? I don't keep music on my iPhone but 16GB is not enough just for apps/pictures. iPad I wanted to keep movies on, some of my favorite music, and a bunch of apps I probably won't touch. So we stick with the 32 and it's been more then adequate.

I use music match. Games take up a lot of space. And I can now keep even more stuff. 128GB is nice.

And then there's the infamous "other". Sheesh.

I bought my mom an iPad Air Silver 32GB her FIRST Apple device for Christmas at Target on Thanksgiving for $599 with Free $100 gift card. Can't wait for her to open on Christmas Eve.

She only does basic email and web browsing so I figured 32GB was more than enough. Almost got her the 16GB but knowing the software takes 7GB on my iPad (3rd GeneratioN) White 64 GB I didn't think 9GB available capacity was enough.

I plan on upgrading to an 64GB iPad Air Space Gray 64GB myself from my iPad (3rd Generation) in the near future or possibly wait til next years iPad Air model and hold out for the Touch ID and possible Gold to match my iPhone 5S Gold 64GB

I don't use the full 64GB on my current iPad but use 36GB so, definitely need 64GB. Which is another reason to hold out for Apple possibly dropping the 16GB all together and the price go down $100. Another reason my iPad isn't even two years old yet. AppleCare runs out in March.

My wife and I each had a 64GB Air, but Best Buy had the 128GB version on sale this past weekend for $729. Now we have a 64GB and a 128GB. :D

P.S. I put a lot of movies on my tablet, and larger files do look better with a Retina display.

I've always been a 1Gig'r. But decided to go 32Gigs in hopes of having this for a while. I'm not going to be taking pictures, and I rarely have anything but a few movies on at a time(I've become adroit at managing small storage). Also, I do not have a lot of music on here as well. So it's just mostly apps.
