My 2nd gen. iPad is working fine with 8.02. Except for performance of course. The performance is not related to the iOS release but more to my aged hardware specs.

That's a coincidence as the number does not appear over settings right away, it appears a while after the update has been released.

Apart from the 8.0.2 update which was released around 5PM EST, most iOS updates are released around 1PM EST, including iOS 8 and iOS 8.0.1.

Well, they said Apple Pay would be working on Monday, and some guy on some other thread said that the store he worked for told its employees that Apple Pay would be available from the moment they open the store, at around 9 AM, so maybe because Apple is launching a BIG feature the iOS 8.1 update will land pretty early tomorrow.
