I'll definitely be waiting a few hours after it goes live before I download it that's for sure.

ESPECIALLY after the disaster that was iOS 8.0.1. Apple really tried it with that mess.

Not me. I'm on it as soon as it's live. Phone is already fully backed up in preparation. :)

More threads about the same thing that is generally the same and fairly inconsequential. I was jokingly going to even reply to the previous thread saying that a more interesting thread would be "guess when the next 'guess the release date/time' would appear", but thought there couldn't be another one before tomorrow...and boy I was wrong.

My 3rd gen iPad on 8.0.2 is a disaster right now. It couldn't be worse. Could it?

My 2nd gen. iPad is working fine with 8.02. Except for performance of course. The performance is not related to the iOS release but more to my aged hardware specs.

I seem to recall the last 2 times I had iOS updates showed up at 7am eastern time.

That's a coincidence as the number does not appear over settings right away, it appears a while after the update has been released.

Apart from the 8.0.2 update which was released around 5PM EST, most iOS updates are released around 1PM EST, including iOS 8 and iOS 8.0.1.

I wonder if the bank's servers will crash due to the increased traffic of people trying to add cards to Apple Pay.

Well, they said Apple Pay would be working on Monday, and some guy on some other thread said that the store he worked for told its employees that Apple Pay would be available from the moment they open the store, at around 9 AM, so maybe because Apple is launching a BIG feature the iOS 8.1 update will land pretty early tomorrow.

    .....Here we go again

I've only just managed to rectify the wifi issue on my iPhone 6 so I for one will be holding out updating.

I think I'll let others test that its okay before I jump in.

From memory (which isn't perfect! :D ), I think it's normally 6pm GMT here in the UK, which is 1pm East Coast US and 10am Cupertino time.

I wonder will Apple let UK users set up their iPhones with their debit/credit card even though it is not going to be out here yet to use in stores?
