Gruber is convinced Apple won't show off iPads tomorrow, not because he has inside information but because he thinks it's too much to cover at one event and from the rumor mill it sounds like the iPad Pro won't ship until late November.

I'm thinking Apple will show off iPads tomorrow mostly because of the new Force Touch/3D Touch stuff. If both iPhone and iPad are getting this technology this year it only makes sense to announce them at the same time. I do share Gruber's concern that it's a lot to pack into one event. On the one hand I'm hoping this forces Apple to focus and have a really tight event (the opposite of the Apple Music presentation at WWDC). But on the other hand I hope it doesn't cause Apple to rush through things in order to finish in 90 minutes or whatever.

I know I'm expecting more than I'll get, but an Apple Watch 2 with a FaceTime camera and more independent than current Watch would be absolutely wonderful.

This is what I expect:
-----------------------

"Good morning."
"Thank you for coming."
"We have some incredible things to show you. Our teams have been working so hard.."
"It's been an amazing year for Apple."

Then, either an Apple Store opening video, or a milestone of Apps downloaded/number of Apps available/
amount of dollars paid to developers.

Watch - "our customers are loving it. here's a video.."
unveil new straps, & mention WatchOS 2 coming soon.. perhaps showing a key feature or two.

iPhone - graphs of market share, iOS share/latest version, maybe even a video
And then some clever spin to lead into the next iPhone, given the fairly incremental upgrades.
Perhaps it will focus on the camera, or perhaps on the display and loads of techy detail
on how 3D Force Touch works.
6S and 6S+ revealed and low-down on the specs, price and pre-orders date.

iPad - another video showing cool iPad users, such as pilots and dance instructors..
Mini iPad update. Reveal iPad Pro (probably with a different name). Stylus in artistic programs, and
a diary app for business users. Super expensive, but will look gorgeous!

Interlude - some non-Apple presentation.. perhaps a game developer showing a dull new game with
amazing graphics, or perhaps a drawing app developer showing cool artistic work with the stylus.
In an attempt to show that this new apple stylus is way better than any of the many other styluses
produced for the iPad already, and the other tablets on the market.

"We're not finished" or "One More Thing" (but that seems too cliched these days..)
Apple TV is an area of interest.. "we want to move it on" (to use Siri etc)
New Apple TV shown. Emphasis on its 'hub' role, and using Siri to control it...
with spotlight on gaming/apps, as well as showing TV channels. Available to buy tomorrow.

Total time: 2 hours, 10 minutes.

You sir, are spot on!

I would think that apple will release El Capitan alongside iOS and Watch OS 2. They usually release them simultaneously, and lately more than ever. And a divided release wouldn't make sense since an updated iOS means you would not have access to your new notes on the Mac until EL Capitan is released.

I counted 11 usages of "will" about something that has not been confirmed by anything than "a source." That is 11 chances to look like fools for reporting rumors as facts.
I am very much hoping that all of those "wills" is going to prove false, just because I'm a contrary hamster.

iPhone 6s: 1 GB RAM, two millimeters thinner, same front and back camera as iPhone 6, sapphire glass, no Force Touch! New revolutionary feature: films in black and white! 16 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB versions!
Apple TV: an actual TV with the App Store functionality built in! Comes in 16 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB storage versions!
New Mac Pro, more pro than ever before, shaped like a showerhead to follow up on the successful trashcan!
watchOS 2: we shall expect exciting things when it is unveiled in March 2016!
Macbook: we got rid of that pesky USB-C slot, introducing the first ever laptop without any slots whatsoever and wireless charging! New record at 7.5 mm thickness! And especially for @jmh600cbr, we made it perfectly round!
Hey Siri: El Capitan will feature Siri after all!

aaaaand one more thing... we're killing off iPad Mini but introducing iPad Maxi with a 27 inch screen!

Fair prediction, I think they will try and keep the event under 2 hours learning from WWDC. I doubt much will be said on the watch, silent updates following later that day.

All of these sites are "reporting" on this stuff like it's fact. smh

We'll see tomorrow. I think they'll try to give a big push for Apple Music, especially with those free trials expiring soon. The new phone, Apple TV, Watch mention... all seem certain. The rest? I'm not buying it - I'd think they'd wait until October for the iPad and Mac news.

I'm hoping for an announcement concerning an expansion of Apple Pay to other countries. There were rumours earlier this year of a Canadian launch for this fall, but nothing since then... Crossing my fingers!

The iPhone 6 already have 240 fps video recording. Why do articles keep referring to the 6S having this as an implication of a new feature?

Nope. OS X stay in beta for an extra month. iOS 9 GM released to devs tomorrow, El Capitan in October.
