While anything is possible I'm not at all optimistic about there being an iPad Pro at tomorrow's event.Bring on the iPad Pro! Dying for a quality iOS stylus here, hopefully they deliver.
So what don't you like about the current form factor?
Just because they offer 16GB doesn't force you to purchase it. The bigger the selection, the better. Some of us only make phone calls and surf the net, so don't need a lot of memory. Why force us to buy what we don't need? One thing I really hope they do - get rid of the 16GB phone. Seriously, if we're moving into 4K/UHD territory for videos we need a bigger base model for storage.
One could argue that the headline reads, 'What to expect' and that every 'will' should be read with that in mind, combining to: 'We expect xyz will happen'.I counted 11 usages of "will" about something that has not been confirmed by anything than "a source." That is 11 chances to look like fools for reporting rumors as facts.
That's exactly what I was thinking as it's a new flagship model. Maybe it would eat into their profits too much! Why doesn't the new Apple TV have the A9?
Event on 9/9, featuring iOS 9 and the A9 processor, but it starts at 10 AM.![]()
I want a 4" phone but if I want the flagship iPhone I don't have a choice these days.Just because they offer 16GB doesn't force you to purchase it. The bigger the selection, the better. I agree. It looks INCREDIBLY dated after seeing it next to the MacBook Retina and for me, the silver is very 2001.So what don't you like about the current form factor?

Gruber is convinced Apple won't show off iPads tomorrow, not because he has inside information but because he thinks it's too much to cover at one event and from the rumor mill it sounds like the iPad Pro won't ship until late November.

I'm thinking Apple will show off iPads tomorrow mostly because of the new Force Touch/3D Touch stuff. If both iPhone and iPad are getting this technology this year it only makes sense to announce them at the same time. I do share Gruber's concern that it's a lot to pack into one event. On the one hand I'm hoping this forces Apple to focus and have a really tight event (the opposite of the Apple Music presentation at WWDC). But on the other hand I hope it doesn't cause Apple to rush through things in order to finish in 90 minutes or whatever.
That's what happens when you focus all your attention on Rumors. It's old news so nothing appears to be innovative.Just seems dull. Nothing in that line up speaks of innovation. It's just another product release.
My iPhone 5 just died last week, interestingly while I have the Samsung S6 Edge during the test drive (I'm questioning if Samsung did something to my phon, ha). I've been using the S6 edge since then and I have to say, the hardware is pretty amazing. The screen and cameras are far above the iPhone's.
I'm hoping the new iPhones tomorrow get the improved cameras because it will be tough to give up the Samsung phone, and I'm a diehard Apple user.
From what I understand the chips themselves are dirt cheap to make. It's the R&D that is expensive. That's exactly what I was thinking as it's a new flagship model. Maybe it would eat into their profits too much!

With only 2 events a year, go gotta show what you gotta show. That's why I'm expecting a letdown. Pick 2 things. Maybe 3 if you count software.
