As much as I'd love to see new MB's on Monday, Apple typically spreads out their announcements over the year.
Anything is possible but my guess is:

Spring = iPad, iPhone SE, and Watch, tvOS update
Summer @ WWDC = MacBooks, Mac Pro, TB Display updates and iOS/OSX
Fall = iPhone 7, iMac, Mac Mini update

Fixed for you.

Monday we all know 99.9% what will be
first 15-20min Tim will talk about Apple vs Fbi.
after iphone 4" and the ipad
and updates to apple watch bands and for the 12" macbook

Simple, i don't know why there are 10 pages about a thing we know

The only thing Apple can innovate is creating different sizes of EXISTING products! whoop!

Having too many models makes it harder for the engineers to focus. Too many bugs or special issues to deal with. Sure, they can hire more engineers, but then it becomes a coordination problem. It's hard to come up with new revolutionary ideas if you have to contact 15 different groups to make a prototype.

It's very hard to see what is not being invented, but it's clear that it happened a lot more 2005-2010 compared to 2010-2015.

No, we actually don't know anything concrete. Just because that is your opinion of what the keynote will consist of doesn't mean it is correct, and that we can't use this thread to speculate.
you wanna bet?
you think there is no 4 iphone? or update ipad? all rumours came true in the past so this is it

Apple to it's loyal customers: We know iPad sales are down, but we really love our customers. In order to keep revenue up, we are going to do something really nice for you. We will re-brand the iPad you know and love as a "pro" model, and we will charge you $100.00 more because we really need to stay profitable, and we need growth at all costs. Well not at all costs, just at about $100 cost. We understand our customers care more about our stock value than what they have to pay for our products as consumers, so we consider this a win/win! You get to own a "pro" iPad, and we get billions of dollars. If only we could solve the woes of the Middle East with a $100 price increase for iPhone 7... But we have a plan, you can buy our iPad pencil for another $100 and boom! World peace!!! Ask not what Apple can do for you, but ask what you can do for Apple. ~Tim

What specifically can get done on a MacBook Air that can't be done on a 12" MacBook? The 12" MacBook is speedy. I'm curious as to what exactly can be done on a MacBook Air that can't be done on a 12" MacBook?
The MacBook One has a cooling system designed to handle a thermal load (from the processor) of 4.5 W. The MacBook Air has a cooling system designed to handle a thermal load of 15 W. Having 3x the (thermal) power budget, your processor can be significantly more powerful.

PLEASE give us a new MacBook Pro 13" with a Skylake CPU or give us death.

"We know iPad/tablet market has reached saturation.
We could of course make our iPads cheaper, to sell the latest high tech models at a lower price, so you can replace your 4 year old iPads and buy a high tech new iPad for a low price. Because they are high tech you' ll not replace this newer iPad for the next 6 years, and because we sell them cheaper now , iPad revenue will fall even further, R&d costs will be reduced and revenue will be close to zero the next 6 years.
We will have to abandon the market, because we don' t make money anymore from the iPad . App development will stall , no more progress. So please people , all buy the latest iPad at lower prices and let us be done with it." Quote Tim Cook

No Apple did the smart thing by releasing a iPad Pro with more possibilities than just a standard tablet, instead of releasing just another minor soc upgrade and make it thinner for the same money. That would have been the easy way but won' t push the tablet past its current function as a simple media consumption device, that is leading to a dead end...

Is that why Apple has the largest market percentage with the AW, because it failed?

Some people are jaded, but Apple has a billion customers, each with their opinion. I'm looking forward to this event.

Yes, it has the largest marketshare in a segment that hasn't resonated with the masses.
Until a watch/wearable truly solves a problem, it will remain a niche product.

Sounds more like a event to keep nervous investors on side rather than launching anything new. It's a real shame when there is so much they could update and announce if they wanted to. New Macs, new software, new Cinema Display, new Mac Pro, even new products. I know it's wishful thinking.

Heaven forbid they should actually announce something new more than once in a blue moon. Every other tech company in the world can mange to do it but obviously Apple VPs have more important things to do like globe trotting, endless magazine interviews, watching their favourite basketball team and attending fashion shows.

The iPhone didn't solve a problem, just a different way of doing something.

Apple has a patent to turn the AW into a lifeline device, that, solves a problem and you can see where this is headed.

Additionally define masses. 15 million seem like masses to me.

They actually updated the iPod touch with pretty decent specs a little over year ago in the fall of 2014. I know because I bought one, and it's great. I love my iPod touch. It has an 8mp camera and fast A8 chip. Before that it was a few years since they updated it, and many people speculated Apple was going to discontinue it...but they didn't. The question is, will they update it again this fall? That I dunno.

They will discontinue it after the iOS stops supporting it. They've already buried it online so you can't find it easily, and you almost have to ask a sales clerk at an Apple Store to help locate them on the shelves, with some having to be specifically requested as they are not on display.

The SE is going to replace it for all practical purposes. By the time the Touch is discontinued, the SE will have a model which has dropped to a similar price range.

I don't buy it that the iphone se won't have 3D touch. The tech is here, the cpus have improved a lot since the A7, so it shouldn't be too difficult to add 3d touch to the new premium model of the iphone.

Apple could announce new Macs, the Apple Car, the Apple Space Launch System, Apple Hotels on Mars, and peanut butter, on Monday.

If they don't, it probably means that they aren't far enough along in their development of these exciting new products to actually demo them or to put a date (or date range) on their availability and starting price. Or it could mean they aren't working on some of them at all.

Those glory days when Apple had a new, exciting product every other month not only aren't coming back, they never happened in the first place. Remember there were years when Apple didn't even update OS X.

Phil : yay its 2021. what should we release this year. How about a new Apple Thunderbolt Display?
Tim : nah they are still buying it anyway. We will just include another adapter.

I - like everyone else see this price rise for evolutionary features as a cash grab, but imagine if on Monday a truly razor thin iPad Air is released alongside this new 'Pro' model?

If there was some impossibly thin iPad that's svelte and tapered, it could differentiate it really well.

Wishful thinking, I know. They'll just leave the iPad Air 2 at the same price with only a 16 gig model and just let it drift into irrelevance like the CMBP and MBA

While I agree that it's bonkers that they still haven't updated the thunderbolt display, it's certainly because they won't release it until every Mac model can push all those pixels - as soon as the retina MacBook can drive one, you'll see it updated.

I have a feeling Apple might focus on education in this keynote. There are substantial upgrades for educators such as myself in iOS 9.3 that may, if not given a publicity bump, go unnoticed. Tie that in with new iPads which are very popular in the sector and I think it could happen. I know it won't be relevant to many, but Apple have never shied away from putting the spotlight on specialist uses of their products, e.g. medical applications.

Thank you! I did not know about that until your comment. Care to elaborate a little bit? It kinda makes sense, especially since this is a rather small event in Apple's headquarters.

What specifically can get done on a MacBook Air that can't be done on a 12" MacBook? I sold a 15" MacBook Pro retina and bought a 12" MB because I wasn't using the MBP anymore. The 12" MacBook is speedy. I'm curious as to what exactly can be done on a MacBook Air that can't be done on a 12" MacBook?

1.1 GHz vs. 1.6 GHz with actual real cooling? I can ran Matlab, Parallels etc. on my MBA (of 2011). I do not want to try this on a Macbook .... and now, I don't regularly need the power so I'm not the target for a MBP. I keep wondering what YOU mostly were doing on that MBP of yours...

The MacBook One has a cooling system designed to handle a thermal load (from the processor) of 4.5 W. The MacBook Air has a cooling system designed to handle a thermal load of 15 W. Having 3x the (thermal) power budget, your processor can be significantly more powerful.

Exactly!

Fixed for you.

Hardly ever hardware at WWDC

I'm still really annoyed at the lack of new desktop hardware (Mini and MP). If they're only going to refresh every 2-3 years they could at least cut the pricing a bit so I don't have to pay a premium for 2 year-old technology. Need to buy a couple minis anyway, just waiting 'til Monday on the remote chance Festivus comes early.

I'm still waiting on an updated 27" Cinema Display
