I'm still really annoyed at the lack of new desktop hardware (Mini and MP). If they're only going to refresh every 2-3 years they could at least cut the pricing a bit so I don't have to pay a premium for 2 year-old technology. Need to buy a couple minis anyway, just waiting 'til Monday on the remote chance Festivus comes early.

The way they handicap the Mini I'm not sure it is a worthwhile purchase new or not.

Me too. The displays are downright ancient and still $1k! The MacPro is almost 1000 days since refresh and holding steady at the exact same price. It's almost laughable what they're charging for their displays and MacPros. Apple is increasingly flipping the bird to pro users - the very people who carried them through the leaner years. Each year we see less and less hardware and software for pro users. Hopefully we'll see a refresh of pro-level gear at WWDC '16.

The only thing in this lineup that I might find interesting is anything about iOS or OS X; and even that's not a definite. If the macbook lineup gets upgrades, that could be interesting.
An apparently somewhat reliable tipster for the ATP podcast said that new MBPs (and a Sklylake/TB3 update for the MB one) are ready to go (but chip availability from Intel could still hold things up).

boring boring boring boring boring...why even hold an event. just because it is an iPhone does not make it news. oh, but watch bands. seriously...as big of an apple fan as i am, this one just annoys me. save big presentations for something meaningful. just think of all the time wasted by Ive being on camera shooting a video about how smooth and revolutionary the newly rebranded iPhone 4 is...he could have been working on the G5 powerbook!

Dream list :

  1. iPHONE SE is named iPhone 6S Mini - has 3d touch and same features of 6S series
  2. 6S Mini and all future iphones will have sapphire screen that is 100% shatter resistant . Tim Cook uses a sledge hammer on the 6S mini on stage and drops it on the floor 5 times and NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH, and also WATERPROOF! Shows video of iphone 6S Mini put in washing machine and still working after a full run.
  3. Final version of iOS 9.3 cleans up the OS so it gives people dramatically more space because it doesn't install useless apps , other languages (seriously I don't need iOS languages that I will never use, make the person install those languages as they need to , that could probably save like a gig) and purges old junk files "other data" so it gives more room to all iOS users for free
  4. Apple refreshes Apple TV remote and includes Touch ID so you don't need to input passwords again and makes it bigger so it won't get lost so easily. Costs $19.99
  5. Gives preview of more features 3D touch will do
  6. Updates Apple TV to have optional 4K support, so everyone stops crying
  7. Introduces mac book air with 5 USB C slots, One HDMI, One SDcard port,
  8. New Mac Mini that has Apple TV functions built in, it's the ultimate entertainment device and it is even future proof and has Super Ultra HD Blu-ray disk support
  9. Apple apologizes for making macs that don't let you upgrade after you buy them, so new macs will allow you to update RAM, Memory , easily and quickly
  10. Apple apologizes for being obsessed with thin computers and says new iphone 6S mini and 7 and new macbooks will have 250% greater battery capacity and performance

I usually wait until after the event before I express my approval or disappointment. :D

Quit fracturing the product line with stupidly named/rebranded products. Why couldn't this be released at just another size option as part of the iPhone 7 line in September?

I think they made the change so the lower priced versions of the iPhone and iPad don't get the latest specs/features until 6 months after the higher priced versions have been released. This ensures the lower priced versions don't cannibalize the sales of the higher priced versions. If Apple would have announced a 9.7 iPad with pencil support at the same time as the iPad Pro, the iPad Pro's sales would have been even lower than they are now.

Personally, I'm just happy they didn't abandon the smaller sized phone like every other manufacturer has. The fact they are updating it with the current tech is icing on the cake.

I'll be interested in seeing what the iPhone SE actually looks like (even though I will not be purchasing it), along with the new AW bands. But I mainly just want iOS 9.3

Honestly? When they have an event, they always have something special. But this years rumors is nothing special - at all. Big deal iPhone SE!? iPad 9.7" Pro whoppidoo. Wrist bands. I fell asleep at iPhone 5SE. The worlds most valuable tech company have an event for this? Good night - I'd rather sleep.

And if they don't update MacBook-line with skylake soon it is a shame.
