I've seen Apple advertising for people to watch the event on Apple and YouTube. I don't recall them being so active in pushing events like this which makes me wonder if they have an announcement bigger than what the pundits anticipate.

I know I'm not alone on this one, I'd love to see more diversity in siri's voice.
Hearing a harsh white female all the time is getting boring,

Yeah a few more voices would be nice, I switch between dialects sometimes to get variety. My female friend is quite happy with the male voices, though she does find it a bit odd addressing Siri and getting her male voice.

Two thoughts:
1. If Apple wants to sell more watches one thing they can do is offer the watch in square or round form factors. I like my Apple Watch but if I had a choice I’d probably pick round.

2. We should work it out so that on every keynote there is someone in the audience who will shout, “what the hell?!” when Apple announces some ridiculously overpriced accessory. Instead of silence we need someone to keep it real in the moment while Tim Cook is listening.

Where's the innovation?????? Same old, same old just better specs

Apple has become so un-innovating that the only thing that will excite me is if they actually lower the prices, since features are the same just a tiny bit better specs.

Good point. Streaming on YouTube is certainly a big change over previous years. The only reason to do that would be to substantially increase the potential audience, which would really only make sense if they think they have something worth showing.

In what way in comparison to the competition?
Major shifts in innovation don’t happen every year.

Incrememental developments are fine, and as observed by the disaster that is the Samsung foldable phone, bringing new tech to the market before it is ready is always a big mistake.

I have a feeling Apple are going to be leaders in the AR space and look forward to seeing what they come up with.

In the minority here, but I'm more excited about the possibility for a 2nd gen iPhone SE next year.

I think what's been happening is the biggest groundswell of support that ever didn't justify a new phone model.

I was referring to the MBPs. I agree with you, bringing new tech to the market before it is ready is a big mistake.
And THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED to APPLE with the MacBooks PRO and Air 2016.
The new keyboard design was a complete disaster, the lack of ports and compatibility made Apple reduce prices by 50% for the entire line of adaptors and dongles alienating the entire user base.
Furthermore, they insisted to fixed a flawed keyboard design 4 times, before actually ditching it. So do not blame just Samsung. And in addition, they introduced a lame Touchbar as a big innovation, while other computers have already full touchscreen.

Apple innovation in MacBooks has been so bad that in the past 3 years they only updated internal components.
And design and quality they both decrease, rather than increase, hence the decrease in sales in the entire computer line up.

Well said! And you’re being generous not mentioning the exploding models of MacBook. Or the failed iPhone batteries of the 6/7 series and the recall and replacement program and what that did to brand image. The shady throttlegate illegally trying to cover up the failed batteries. It’s all been a mess under Tim’s leadership that even top quality has outright quit the company and all but cited a lack of innovation. But stock is hitting all time highs! Revenue is great! Nobody sees a thing about the double digit increasing trend of less iPhone upgrades. They’re still in that “they’re going to come back, they’re just holding onto their devices long” stage. We’ll see how long that lasts.

As to what I expect to see at the event? Simply more evidence that Tim Cook should be booted out of the CEO position, that’s what I truly expect to see.

Opinions are like *ssholes...

You people could literally get into an argument with a butterfly.

I am not arguing. My post simply stated how i prefer editing my photos on the ipad pro with Affinity Photo rather than on a laptop or desktop. I love it. I didn’t question anyone else's choice. I am cool with whatever works for someone else. And never questioned what they use. So when Someone else posted how my choice of device for editing was BS. I just laughed and wrote “opinions vary”.

Innovation is none of the things mentioned in this article.
I think and hope for glasses
People that wear glasses have to do it the majority of their lives. What battery do you think Apple can put into something that needs to be on 18 hours a day?

Employing UWB technology in a low power tile-like device to achieve precision location certainly is.
Is it really "innovation" or is it saying "you Apple users seem to be too dumb to look after our products; we'll do it for you (but give us money for our solution)"

Hoping for leaks of the actual keynote today...
A forum like this should have insiders hired by now after so many years.

I think if it was anything major, it would of leaked by now. We already know about the iPhone's for this year and the Apple Watch updates.

Are people really excited about the tile thing? I don't get it.

I’m not. Maybe the people who are have Alzheimer’s...
[doublepost=1568013941][/doublepost]An optical blood sugar reader on the watch is the only innovation I can think of.

Alright I understand not being interested in something, but bro... Some of y’all have to understand that people have many reasons to be excited for whatever it is that Apple sells or whatever it is that ANY company sells.

“Why would ANYONE want Apple Card?”

“Why would ANYONE pay $1449 for an iPhone?”

Y’all can’t keep asking these questions lmao let people live.
