I hate to say, but I have little to zero interest this year, and probably won't anytime soon until there is a refresh of talent in the software department at Apple. Basically I've lost faith in Apple's software, after years off disappointing releases and an endless train of bugs and glitches. My late 2015 top of the line iMac just froze and rebooted by itself again, a problem that is fairly frequent - but the point is it never happened until the release of 10.11.4 and still continues into 10.11.5.
iTunes is just a mess, and it's been that way for awhile. It's the same old fastidious devotion to bloatware - nobody is thinking different anymore. Apple music began as an all out mess, and usually software that starts that way never seems to recover. iOS 8, iOS 9, OS X Yosemite and El Capitan, all of had issues where invariably Apple's software quality comes into question, as well it should.
So I just don't care what's new anymore, it's just more underwhelming features that signal the now typical annual start of the grand parade of more glitches and bugs, and many more months of waiting and waiting until Apple get's it straightened out - if they ever do at all. Even after release after release of public betas...
Prior to the release of OS X 10.0, Apple surprised everyone by releasing a public beta, uncharacteristic of Apple at the time. I don't remember if it was WWDC or Macworld, but during Steve Job's keynote, he highlighted the feedback Apple received from the beta, and even acknowledged all of the critical feedback. Concluding, he publicly thanked everyone who participated in the beta and said that because of their help we will get a much better OS. Fast forward to today. Once again, Apple is releasing public betas of OS X and iOS - and neither Federighi or anyone else on Apple's senior staff has ever publicly acknowledged the contributions or help of public beta testers. Not even once.
