The 17" MBP was discontinued 5 years ago, why would anyone be expecting a replacement for that? And I believe time capsule was discontinued last year as well

Time Capsule provided an all Apple solution to wireless and Time Machine backups. I am surprised they discontinued it and ask the customer to buy another brand router and maybe an external drive not made by Apple. The cloud isn't ready for my data thats for sure. So if that's what they were thinking, it a few years too early IMO.

I think Tim is going to announce that Apple has a very exciting pipeline of products that is sure to amaze.
I think 2018 is going to be a great year for Apple hardware.

But..But 2017 isn't over yet....

As far as pipeline.....

Yes, on Monday at 10 AM (Pacific Time)
Hardware announcements will be from 10:15 - 10:20. Apple Music will take 30 minutes (or more). Swift - 20 minutes. How great Apple is doing....the balance of the keynote.

OK...I'm done....won't be watching anyway.....The excitement is gone.

First time I'll have a computer I own be outdated since 2010. Guess that 2016 MBP couldn't be the new hot **** forever.

You know, with the current design being so small, it actually wouldn't be a half bad idea to bring back the 17". It wouldn't be that much bigger than the previous 15 inch models.

Huge potential leak by foxconn insiders, but their accuracy is unknown.

I read this earlier today. It's fairly interesting and some of it I believe it's entirely going to be accurate. Just based off reading rumors in the last 6 to 8 months, a lot of the predictions on there seem to align when some of those products could actually launch potentially due to other manufacturer delays.

One of the predictions, was the Siri smart speaker won't launch until late 2017 and it's been heavily rumored it's going to launch next week during WWDC. So that should be interesting alone in itself to see if that actually happens or not.

My guess is that the speaker will be unveiled next week together with new SDKs so as to give developers ample time to support it. Announcing it early would also put a moratorium on sales of google home and Amazon echo device sales.

Excellent point. I think you are correct. Siri needs to be demoed and released first showing it's revamped capabilities or potential it has to match the Siri speaker, followed by the release of the Siri smart speaker whenever that might be. All I know is, it's going to be an expensive fall Again if the speaker does launch by then.

"Apple is supposedly going to use a name that starts with an "M," and some possibilities include Monterey, Mojave, Mammoth, and Miramar, all landmark names Apple has previously trademarked."

What! macOS Modesto didn't make the cut?!

There's even an Apple Store in Modesto. I can't believe they passed up Stockton to put the store in Modesto.

No mention of MR/AR/VR? Apple should step up now.
Im deep in the apple eco system but just got a samsung gear 360 2017 and love that little camera.
If apple showed of an AR or VR accessory I would buy in a heartbeat or even an external 360 camera
If I was not deep in apple ecosystem I would go for a samsung phone today just to use the gear vr.

Tim cook has been promoting A/M/VR for some time now so wonder if they will not present some sort of glasses?
Have the iphone 7 and will my next phone will be the iphone 9 or 10... but I would buy the iphone 8 right now if it had an MR glass option.

If you want feel true disapointment try a android phone for a day
If you want to be even more disappointed, look at the Mac Buyer's Guide. It looks like ketchup and mustard with all the red DON'T BUYs and yellow CAUTIONs.

Great, now I'm disappointed and hungry.

Doubt so. Some aspirant-buyers may fall onto their table from laughing about Siri.
Then they will have their Alexa's to order new furniture.
This ain't anything strategic - just impulse buying

Just wait and see: Angela getting on stage, wobbling and moaning like she's in trance...slow, swollen music getting wilder, spectacular laser beams...people yell.
Then...she slowly starts to undresses ehh... undo her giant spectacles
The crowd goes berserk, some fade out, Phil is crying...

Very excited to see what they show us tomorrow. First time in a long time we hardly know anything about what is coming. Usually almost everything has leaked way before and it's ruining the show.

What to Expect at WWDC 2017? Disappointment.

Of course, if your expectations are crazy high (as it is usually the case around here) the disappointment will also be high. But guess what? It is all good for normal people out there....who are almost everybody who uses iOS devices. Few disappointed nerds who make a tiny minority doesn't really matter.

All I want is a phone with a jack.

I don't know how to feel about WWDC, especially about iOS 11. As others have mentioned, there haven't been a lot of leaks. Is this because there just isn't anything noteworthy, or because they finally kept a lid on it? I guess I'm cautiously optimistic...
Software leaks are actually very rare, since this is completely inhouse.
