I hope not to see "courage" today at the keynote.

Phil Schiller : “And we removed the screen from iPad! Yes, the screen!! Only Apple could do that. Can't innovate anymore, my ass.”

Android had smartwatches before Apple.

The stylus has been around for decades.

I'm not sure how a proprietary adapter is a good thing.

Motorola made an Android phone without a headphone jack before Apple.

Right, and most of those things were/are straight up garbage from others, but hey, who cares about that.
Android wear is close to death in sales terms.

I couldn't get more excited about what's being phased out next (magsafe, tactile keyboards, sensible magic mouse charging input, iPad mini, Airport, displays, Mac mini....(gets autofilled)
Diversity in the orphaned catalogue will never be better !
Now let's pray for the Salvators of the Headphone-jack Free World... who's cutting swords will make this day

I couldn't agree more with this statement. At least I think I couldn't. Once I'd managed to decipher it. Siri! Translate ... Medieval English to Modern English ... ;)

Can anyone share the URL needed to watch the livestream via VLC once it's available?

Whaha !
Man, I'm getting religious feelings that I didn't know they even existed...
Ohh..Let's Rejoice, Juveniles from the lost land promised by the beloved Saint Cook
(hope this idiosyncrasy will get over by tomorrow)

apple.co/live

at work today, but might try to catch some of it. my son is there. maybe i will catch a glimpse :)

Things I would like to see in the future maybe for WWDC 2018

Mail Improvements: Be able to schedule an email. Connect nativley, Evernote, Things, Omnifocus and other third party apps and in general go in the direction of Airmail. Have Siri read email for us. I work in hotels, would be cool for hotels to be able to send a confirmation email that has a NFC room key sent along with it on the date of arrival near checkin time, skip the hotel front desk and go right to your room.

Apple Pay: Peer to Peer payments via Imessage and/or tapping a friends phone, tip calculator or bill split a 3D touch option. Apple Shop a seperate app with Apple pay Would be cool for small shop owners or farmers markets and would negate the need for seperate square device for creditcard payments by making the devices themsleves able to take micropayments directly from IOS Devices and NFC Cards.

Apple Wallet ID's Work with governments internationally to provide Drivers licences, passports and other IDs in apple wallet.

Small Vendor Loyalty Cards would be cool for your favorite local coffee shop.

Apple Bank: Apple should become a legit bank and track our spending automatically (like level) ecouraging adoption of apple pay, have an automatic savings and budgeting feature.

Stocks App: Be able to buy stocks and etfs in coordination with Apple Bank right through the stocks app. Allow purchasing of microshares.

Photos: Truly Unlimited storage, catch up to Google Photos. Better Searching. Be able to order photos with tons of frame options.

IBooks Automatic Audiobook Bundles: Bundle audiobooks with every book purchase so that you can switch back and forth from reading to listening seemlessly.

Animated IOS App Icons: See temperature from homescreen etc.

Movies: Be able to scan old dvd libraries into itunes library.

Restriction Timers/Better Parental Controls: Block access to apps (on a per app basis) websites the full web or a complete lockout of the device. Apps like Cold Turkey or freedom are examples. If apple really cares about health it should realize we need better control over our devices. Parents and Kids both are on their devices too much.

Password Protect Apps

Multi Person Facetime

Guessing some of this will be announced today. Others are things that will happen someday but could be many years.

The Magic Mouse - at that time - was definitely a game changer; hell it was the first mouse to have multi-touch gestures.

Personally, I don't see the Watch or the Pencil as game changers.

The Watch and Pencil probably influence how competitors do their smartwatches and styluses.

I don't see the Magic Mouse having influenced competing mice. They still largely don't support gestures.

People have a "bad attitude " towards this event because that is all there is left to have. Product releases have been worse and worse year after year. We are not going to drink the kook-aid and pretend the world is sunshine and lollipops for the sake of being positive. No. It's Apples job to fix our attitude by making better products, not ours.

We get it, you don't Cook or Apple's Changes over the years. However, You don't speak for everybody. You speak for "You." It's your attitude and you can adjust it as need be towards the event. It's you not agreeing with Apple's product Line and current path point, where as others Do.

On a sidenote, I have had plenty of discussions with you on here about your bitter history with Apple (And your employment with them) and anything I say, will not change your viewpoint and you will refute it. Therefore, this discussion is a constant cycle of already rehashed points. I will say, perhaps you should look into other competitor products, because clearly Apple
Will not conform to your standards.

????

Using their own infrastructure to host their own services such as iCloud.

They already do that.

You responded to: "I think they use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for streaming these events, so they should be fine with scaling to meet demand."

(They use Akamai, not AWS.)

It doesn't make much sense for them to build an infrastructure for event live streaming when they use it so rarely.

iCloud is hosted on several services: AWS, Google, Azure.

I speak with all those standing behind me. There are plenty of people standing behind me on this forum. I will say...PERHAPS....you should mind your own business when it comes to my (and any one else's)choice in products. Now if your done enjoying your holier than thou moment, I have a keynote to watch and be disappointed with.
