I was just wondering if anyone who has the proper device will be able to watch. I mean, servers wont get overloaded from too many online trying to watch? I'm not real technical so that may not be the right terminology but you get my drift. I will be trying to watch on an ATV 4 and Apple Event App.
I think they use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for streaming these events, so they should be fine with scaling to meet demand.

Can everyone remember this is a 'Developers' conference. Don't be annoyed if theres a limited number of hardware announcements.

Can you remember that a developer conference encapsulates both software and hardware?

You obviously aren't aware of WWDC previous record of hardware annoucements, which are plentiful.

3D emojis.... possibly animated. Nothing says 'innovation' like 3D emojis, and animation would simply put them light years ahead. And, for 'one more thing' they could introduce AI-driven fart sounds. That would simply captivate their new target market for close to a year, maybe more.

(Hangs head and fondly remembers Apple's glory-days.)

It it crazy how few rumors there have been about software this year. I don't know when was the last time there was a WWDC where had absolutely no idea what to expect.
Doubling down on secrecy.

There's been virtually no rumours about os/x either.. but OS/X releases have felt like half hearted releases...
They really need to make Xcode worth using for web development and other types of development too. it's the quickest way to get people to develop more iOS apps.

Saw this over on reddit: Anyone want to play along during WWDC as a MR group in the live discussion thread?

Yeah...speed bumps being magical is pretty sad. Now a price cut, that'd be a nice surprise. Macs just aren't worth the premium anymore, which is why schools are going with the surface.

I'd like to know what the hell all the engineers at apple are actually doing. It's certainly not designing new macs or lisenting to users,

I find it bizarre that after 8 or so months they will release yet one more MacBook Pro and the more than a year old iMac will be untouched.
I'm betting on at least a speed bump for the iMac. Would be nice if there was a redesign that solved the thermal issues but let's be realistic.... we're talking about apple here!

Let me get in my prediction before the keynote tomorrow:

The Siri speaker will centre on HomeKit and serve as a hub to replace all hubs. As a secure hub, it'll enable HomeKit compatibility for non-HomeKit devices through software alone, speeding up adoption of the ecosystem.

It'll be heavily branded around the home theme. I expect it to be called Home.

I'm just hoping it's not as painful to watch as the last keynote. Man, that was awkward...

Yes, it was just awful and so full of clichès.

And come this fall - PLEASE do not call it "the best iPhone we've ever made". *Cringe*

It has been a while since an Apple Keynote lived up to the hype.

MacBook Air really really needs a massive redesign. Way overdue at this point.

Looking mostly toward the iOS 11 reveal.

Prediction: Apple will drop the numbering scheme for iOS — and possibly for iPhone. The next iOS will adopt a macOS-like naming scheme. If it follows the California theme, we could get something like iOS Pacific.

Oh that naughty, bad person for not being aware of something.

Oh it makes you sad, so precious, you poor little lamb.

Killing them with kindness ...... getting popcorn....

They use Akamai.

I think Tim is going to announce that Apple has a very exciting pipeline of products that is sure to amaze.
I think 2018 is going to be a great year for Apple hardware.

2017 should have been the great year for Apple hardware. Desktop hardware is way past due for an update. If Apple waits another year, they are going to lose even more market share. It's like all of their hardware has stalled and it's getting so ridiculous that I might have to move to another platform. The currently shipping iMacs are nice machines, but they are so old and overpriced for what you get, that it's just a bad investment. I'm not going to throw top dollar on old technology. My buddy just built a new Window desktop for $1200 and it blows away anything Apple is currently shipping.

They need to talk less tomorrow about MacOS and talk more about better hardware to run it on.

I'm just going completely nuts waiting for Tim Cook to come on stage! zzzzzzzzzzzz.........

People and Apple fansites that think they know Apple better than Apple do, give me a laugh.

This. Or at all if there are no hardware announcements. Anything hardware related is strictly an add on. This is about the developers and rightfully should be. Personally, I look forward more to the demos of the latest versions of iOS/macOS last watchOS.

The TouchBar is the future. That's wise of you to become a TouchBar developer, because soon the entire keyboard area will be taken over by the TouchBar. There will be an app store dedicated to the TouchBar.
Ah, great! You made my day, man.
We have to stand firmly together with Phil in courageous action to give the TouchBar the attention and momentum required.
This WWDC17 is the moment !
We will need TouchBar seminars, TouchBar curriculae, TouchBar geniuses, TouchBar gifts (such as wipers).
From my perspective, promotion currently seems slightly underwhelming.
Also, TouchBar proliferation would increase if it were to be included in any MacBook at no additional cost. Businesswise, a modest investment from Apples part, that would greatly reward them on the longer term.
If not, Apple's greatest innovation of 2016 tends to be orphaned within half a year.
And it would possibly starve in its current dismissive state: a prevalence of emoji's, backed in hardware
