32-Bit App Support Ending
…
Does this mean that Civilization V will stop working? I *just* upgraded from my 5 year old MBPr so that I could play games better, and that was the primary game I still play on my Mac.
There has been a 64-bit update for the MAS version of Civ V. For some reason, it has until now not materialised on Steam, though.

Oh wow. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll just go ahead and buy it. I’m approaching 3700 hours in the game. I think they could stand to get another $50 (or whatever) from me. ;-)

So far it’s underwhelming in regards to iPhone. iPad is getting a lot more in comparison and I hardly touch my iPad. Maybe that’ll change but I doubt it.

Wish list:

Iphone:
- NFC support for 3rd apps like JustinMobile (lock app for saltosystems door locks)
-Dark mode

Ipad:
- Dark mode
- Xcode
- Mouse support
- Ipad as external screen that i as good as astropad studio and Luna display

The same Scott Forstall who was behind the over-promised and under-delivered release of Apple Maps and Siri? Nope, that will never happen.
The fall guy and an opportunity for Cook to remove a threat. Too Jobsian.

I hope the files app on iPad becomes a comprehensive file manager, full external drive and directory support, both via the port and remotely.

Eewww.

I really hope these are not the real icons for the new apps.

Expect them to be encircled like most of those already are in macOS.

Please tell me watchOS 6 will be more than just this.
Maybe it will, but you’ll probably have to wait until September for the Series 5 models to see it. There’s only so much such a diminutive device can do with its current hardware, anyway…

I hope Tim cools it with the fake excitement. It's perfectly fine to just be as excited as you are. No need to go over the top and make it seem like you're not really excited at all but just putting on a show so we'll all be excited and buy your new stuff.

In all honesty, iOS updates for the iPhone don’t interest me this year (Yes, Not even Dark Mode), I think Apple has a lot in store for the iPad and Apple Watch for software updates/improvements, this should be a huge week coming. Looking forward to it.

Any chance Scott Forstall will be on stage announcing the return of user interfaces that are easy to use, approachable, friendly and fun?

It’s SUPER weird that your post is calling for the return of Forstall, yet your avatar is Mansfield... literally the gentleman he got axed for bullying out of the company.

Pick a team! You’re making my head hurt, lol.

The best thing iOS 13 could have is some sort of watchdog for apps that DRAIN your battery, such as going to bed with a 92% charge and waking up with a dead iPhone. And I mean not because I fell asleep watching Netflix and it played episode after episode all night...I mean nothing going on. Lock it and set it on the night stand. Morning time...dead. Battery usage graph looks like the face of a cliff.

I'm looking forward to seeing the keynote. However, Apple seems to be moving in the direction of everything targeting creators of content, music, photos and videos, graphic artists, etc. I wonder for how long their products will be useful for the rest of us.

I expect to be highly disappointed.

Heartbreakingly so.

I don’t say this to be snarky, I say this as a long time Apple fan and customer. It’s just the trajectory this company is on. And the leaks look Terrible.

I haven't been a Mac OS user for a while, but I'm excited to see what Apple has to bring this year. If they bring more desktop-like features for iOS I may just switch assuming we get real Photoshop or Adobe XD. I'm also hoping Apple adds functionality to run iOS apps/games on Mac OS.

How about just sell Mac OS X the same way Microsoft sells Windows. Just sell us the unlocked OS so we can build our own desktops (especially since Apple isn't interested in making current desktops anymore) and load it on them.
Microsoft is making plenty doing that. The only reason Apple wouldn't is simply unbridled greed.

That would be amazing! I would love that, but I don't see it happening.

Ever since Snow Leopard (I know, I know, that was a looong time ago) all I've ever wanted from  was a much more powerful tower type computer (MacPro type). The endless Mac OS updates since then haven't improved the Mac experience one bit except to mate the Mac with the iPhone. Some would say, it's been downhill ever since. I certainly don't enjoy it as much that's for sure.
