There are really too many trolls nowadays, to many threads are derailed, moderators do too little about it.
What is the difference?Remember: Apple is leaving its long time loyal customers, not the other way around.
I remember I used to think Micro$oft and their new surface book and surface are actually quite interesting, but still Apple kind of prices which made me go with Dell XPS instead when my rMBP died.I've just read that Microsoft will be introducing a new surface pro in 1Q 2017. Looks like software companies like google and Microsoft are pushing harder than Apple does these days. Especially now the surface line of Microsoft is getting momentum Apple definitely has to up the ante. Also when you consider decreasing iPad sales year after year now and Apple is telling everyone iPads are the future instead of the 'trucks', it's disappointing to see how sluggish they respond to market change.
I was supposed to upgrade to the iPhone7 and swap phones down the family, but currently in limbo (annoyed they took out the 3.5mm jack). Number 1 feature I want in a phone is probably the camera and looks like you don't always need the fastest phone out there to get that? Pixel was looking interesting until they priced it at iPhone levels with inferior offering but perhaps better camera. I think I heard the pixel was rushed. And if they don't do-it like a rockstar, it'll make my decision to bail and move to Android all that much easier. This is the year I would be upgrading my MacBook Pro and Phone.
Lets see what 2017 brings, I have faith it will be a good year.
Hope we get less whiners/trolls/trolling posts next year!
The problem with that is, who would replace him. We need somebody at the helm who really understands the Mac community. Tim would do a lot better if he just listened. My #1 wish for 2017 is that Tim Cook retires or gets fired. He's been a disaster for Apple.
Just guessing, but I do not think this will happen, no matter what.If Apple stops making stupid decisions then your wish will come true.
Better to send to the BOD and let them realize what Cook & Co. is really doing. (Yeah, I know..Wishful thinking....sigh,,,)You really should mail this one to Tim Cook. Maybe he might remember some lessons from his master and won't let history repeat again.
I hope for new iMac with at least 4 USB C ports and none of the crap ports that I never use like SD card, network and old thunderbolt ports.
What constitutes a stupid decision for one person might well be an excellent decision for another. If Apple stops making stupid decisions then your wish will come true.
Someone pls post that "why Xerox failed" Jobs video at least 20 more times, k? Awesome.
With the launch of the iPhone 7 and MacBook Pro, 2016 has been a mixed year for Apple. The iPhone 7 was released without a headphone jack, an unpopular choice that's now been somewhat ameliorated by the launch of the AirPods, and the MacBook Pro has been plagued by battery issues, graphics problems, and complaints about the high price of the device.

Apple also saw its first decline in iPhone sales in 2016, but 2017 could potentially turn things around for the company. We're expecting the biggest iPhone revision we've seen since the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launched in 2014, plus we're also expecting major iPad changes, refreshed desktop Macs, and software improvements.
iPhone 8 - September 2017
Rumors about the 2017 iPhone started ramping up before the iPhone 7 was even released, so there's a lot of information out there, and at this point, quite a bit of it conflicts, so it's difficult to get a clear picture of what Apple is planning for the iPhone's 10th anniversary.
If you read all of the rumors and suss out some common themes, there are a few concrete details that hint at what likely to see in the next-generation iPhone. We're assuming it's going to be called the "iPhone 8" due to design changes that are more radical than we'd expect for an "iPhone 7s," but it's entirely possible Apple will go with another name.
It looks like there's going to be at least three iPhone models, and one of those will have an OLED display. It's sounding like we're going to get one premium OLED iPhone somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 inches, with either a flexible curved display that wraps around the edges like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or an edge-to-edge display more in line with the current design of the iPhone 7.

Add me to that hope group.I know displays and Airport is a long shot. That said, it makes no sense Apple abandoning them. So I can only hope.
2016 was the first year that I didn't bought a single Apple product. Apple fan since 2005, there was not a single product this year that gives me the good old Apple wow.
Right! We are still in 2016, but next year, 2017, uh huh!No way an iPhone 8 this Year.
That, and Apple turning it's back on the Mac.This is an unsolvable problem. You're witnessing human nature amplified by the anonymity of the internet. Enjoy.
