I wouldn't call it "highly anticipated" 🤣
I mean, what can they do to a streaming box? (yes, I know some ppl don't like the remote) At MOST "mildly interesting".

HDMI 2.1 is the only thing I am really interested in for the ATV, even though I think there isn't a lot of benefit to it right now, but maybe in the future. An updated processor + remote would be nice additions.

Too bad you got rid of your Tiles ... you could have attached one to your hope ;)

my tile devices got rid of themselves automagically with dead battery, just like this guys hope :).

but yah, been waiting for airtags for 2 years.

Apple must have had to do a complete redo or something to ensure privacy and cover a lot of weird use cases is my guess.

It’s a lot of revenue that will come from airtags.

Would love to see stand-alone Logic Pro (sw) come to iPad. I’m holding out on buying it since not sure if apple would charge a premium / seperate license for an ipad version.

After seeing the products on Tuesday we’ll have a better idea how and if the chip shortage is affecting Apple
I don’t think it’s having an impact on Apple as they’re TSMC’s biggest customer and most likely get priority and also Tim Cook is a wiz at manipulating the supply chain

I hope the rumors aren’t true that the 11” iPad Pro won’t get the Mini LED. Seems like an odd choice not to give it to both sizes of the PRO ipads. Isn’t that the whole point? To get people to upgrade to the pro models?
Completely agre. I totally expected the 11” to get mini led, and I kinda still do, but we will see.

I had the 2020 12,9” iPad Pro, but sold it because it was too heavy and the screen size didn’t really warrant me keeping it in my case.
Still on my 2018 iPad Pro, and only looking for an upgrade if the screen gets a significant upgrade, and it does need an upgrade.
The other hardware is still more than capable IMO.

An iPad mini Pro could be interesting too, or just a iPad mini overhaul, but that is probably not gonna happen either.

Man if those iMac renders are even halfway close to the real thing (which, no ****ing way), I'm definitely buying one. Doesn't even matter that I have the M1 Air.

Sure, but you can see why they’ve postponed the release, can’t you?
A product that cleverly relies on lots of people being out and about to ‘crowd-locate’ an object... and a global pandemic with a stay-at-home lockdown. Timing....
I understand what you’re saying, but I think there’s more to it than that from Apple’s side, whether it was production or software issues or something else.

After all, the world isn’t much less of a dumpster fire than it was in May/June of last year if you look at the overall statistics — some individual places may be better or worse, but on the whole not much improved.

Ooh I like the black Apple Pencil. If they do make it in black, they better not charge an extra premium for it like they did with their Magic Mouse/keyboard.
Speaking of the latter, I wonder when they'll fix the atrocious Magic Mouse 2 charging design.

The 'Mac' (the entire lineup) is what I am primarily interested in.
Please give us something, anything Mac (hardware)-related at the event, please.

Just waiting for a good (same scale and dpi as current iMacs) display that I can connect to my M1 MBP that doesn't require me to take on a second mortgage. Its ridiculous that they don't sell a normal consumer display in the UK Apple store.

There’s no way this comment was about phones. It’s the iPad camera bump. And I completely agree with it. I don’t use a case and I have to be careful where I put my iPad down to avoid scratching a camera lens that will eventually crush resale value.

I use it on the iPad but I don't need a full spec camera just enough to show the view from the rear when on a video call - its good for explanation videos.

Depends which country you live in, I suppose.
Whilst things are looking bad in India and South America, and there are still some countries/states in denial, the vaccine programme is pulling many countries closer to normality, such as here in a the UK where half the country is already vaccinated, and we’re opening up stuff.
So whilst you’re right - there are probably all sorts of factors - I’m sure that global lockdown was a big factor in delaying their release given that normal social crowding is a requirement for their function! And now maybe a tipping point in terms of timing, perhaps in relation to rival products too.
But hey, Apple’s marketing team are amongst the best in the world at selling us stuff, and usually stuff we didn’t know we wanted!!
