If they re-introduce an SD card reader and maybe even a USB A port on Apple silicone MacBooks at this or a future event, I’d have to seriously consider getting a new laptop.
I don’t mind dongles all that much, tbh, but my MBP is one of the last intel ones and I’m tempted by the M1 ones, anyway xD

iPad mini 6 would be interesting but I’m still super happy with my 5 and I honestly couldn’t care much less about the size of its bezels.

I don’t understand how there would be monopoly accusations on the airbags. Are there a few different companies that make them?

I don't think the iPad 8th generation would be updated so soon, considering it came out only 6 months ago.
And I don’t think the iPad Pro would be updated at this time either. Although Apple released the most recent iPad Pro model in march 2020, ever since the ipad pros were introduced they haven’t been updated yearly but rather every 1.5 years or so (the 1st gen was released in fall 2015 with the 9.7” model coming out the following spring, 2nd gen june 2017, 3rd gen september 2018 and 4th in march 2020). Thus, I don’t get why everyone is excitedly expecting a new ipad pro this spring. I wouldn’t expect it until september (or maybe june at the earliest).

I'll wait for the iPad Pro with the A15 chip
and possibly 6G
The iPhone is suppose to get cool by 2023. So I'm guessing thats when the A15 6G iPad will be out.

Yes. Tile comes to mind. The complaint would be if Apple didn’t allow those existing and future tag-like device as to operate in the Apple ecosystem.

My 2018 11” iPad Pro is still kicking butt. so i dunno if I will upgrade. But i would love an iPad Mini with the flat edge design so i could use the Apple Pencil 2 on it. I am an artist, and like to sketch on my 11” ipad pro. But sometimes I wish I had a smaller iPad to sketch on when i want to travel light. I know the current ipad mini can use the first gen pencil, but I don’t want two apple pencils. And i prefer the charging method of the apple pencil 2 anyway. The first gen is so awkward and unApple like.

i would consider upgrading to the new iPad Pro... IF Apple came out with an iOS version of Final Cut for it. I currently use Luma Fusion which is so much better than iMovie. And for a “Pro” device that costs as much as a laptop, the iPad Pro really should have a version of Final Cut. Just saying.

How about an airtag compatible airpod / airpod pro case so I can find those damn things in my house when I put them down somewhere strange.

I’m waiting for the 14” MacBook Pro, but it a large iMac with GPU is released I might just get it!

Apple does tend to throw curve balls, so maybe they will surprise and release an iPad 9th gen, even with the general negative sentiment of this forum? I just feel like there is always that one part of every event where folks are like “wow, didn’t see that coming!” Ah well, time will tell. My 8th gen iPad is more than capable at handling my daily tasks currently. Just hoping to avoid any buyers remorse since I purchased it in November.

Nah, Apple likes to keep the base model iPad 2+ generations of chip behind its higher-end offerings. They kept the 6th and 7th generation on the A10 until they were ready to move the Air from the A12 to the A14. I can't see them bumping up the base iPad to an A13 and narrowing the performance gap between that and the Air until they're ready to move the Air to the A15.

2mm? That’s 0.078% of an inch. I think you mean centimeters, which is 3/4 of an inch.
no I meant mm. The thickness of an 2020 iPad Pro is 5.9 mm. I was guessing 2 its actually 5.9 mm. I assumed with apple chips the iMac would be the same thickness as an iPad Pro.

The updates are also never quite so minor. March 2020 was a very minor update. Plus the ONLY rumors for this event have been iPads. Pencils, airtags, all the macs have not been actively rumored for this event and have simply been conjecture. So I’m confused how you aren’t expecting an update. What would you think is going to be released?

100% agree. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will be discussed until WWDC.

I do, however, think they will open up some of these pro apps... though I’m worried there will be a subscription for them :(

Scheduling this event gives it a two hour window. Which means 1/2 hour for Tim Cook’s salutation and looks like a couple new Apple products (hopefully)

The imac is almost a given thanks to Apples invitation in Spanish
"Novedades de todos los colores" - New in all colors

I am so ready for a 27+ inch iMac or Mac Mini Pro, i have 2 days to higher the limit on my VISA card. This will most probably be my most expensive Mac to date.

I think your Visa card will be spared this time if you are looking for a 27+ iMac, unfortunately.

I hope the rumors aren’t true that the 11” iPad Pro won’t get the Mini LED. Seems like an odd choice not to give it to both sizes of the PRO ipads. Isn’t that the whole point? To get people to upgrade to the pro models?
