9to5mac has by now convinced me that no new iMacs will appear today ... :(

This is awful what a letdown if true I've been waiting years to get one....well a Mac, but the last year or so waiting for a next gen iMac.

All the speculations from 9to5mac are based on what? One leaked product/part list and unnamed sources? Just have to wait and see!

Edit: Btw, Macworld posted an article that makes sense in saying that any unveiling apart from Mac Pro or new technology (retina or other major hardware thing that matters to software) does not belong in an event aimed at software developers.

They have to release an update sometime. I mean god damn, it's their base model for consumers/prosumers. :S

Seriously. Just USB 3.0, an updated graphics card, SSD at cheaper price and Ivy Bridge. Nothing more, and I will be happy.

Everything is there for them, c'mon Apple!

9to5mac isn't infallible guys. And they haven't shown really any evidence that conclusively rules out the appearance of the iMac. Let's just wait and see.

The images of the guts today definitely imply no redesign of the MBP's, which confirms at least half their theory from the last couple of days... (that the current MBP shape will still be available)

I'm suddenly feeling very pessimistic about new iMacs :(

Fact still remains that the iMac is due for a refresh. The stock has gone low for big third party resellers - Amazon for example (at least in Europe). There's leaked benchmark scores, all expected components are availible. It would make sense for Apple to use the WWDC publicity combined with the back to school promo to release new iMacs.

Think about the signs for the iMac alone instead of being paranoid about rumors from just one site!

Agreed, and as stated in another thread, I think 9to5mac is all wrong. Very strange move by Apple to have three lines of MacBooks. Would be a first and I don't believe it till I see it. In addition, the specs they list for the MacPros are just unbelievable, they have listed current gen specs.

In my mind it would make more sense to have a retina and a non-retina version of each size of laptop, and add more BTO options to make a wider range - this makes things look cheaper (wthout BTO added) and less confusing. Just imagine going into a store and you want an Apple laptop, and there's at least 10-12 computers in a row, and these are just the default configurations, seems so unlikely.

with back to school maybe that is why the focus is MacBooks for now and an iMac upgrade down the line....what scares me is we haven't even really heard it mentioned like you you have the Air and Pro, hell there were more rumors about a supposed "Apple TV" unveiling that we know is not happening then iMacs

I think it's time to be worried guys:(
