In other news: meh. Nothing really new or to get excited about.
Seriously? Modesto? Have you been to Modesto? I have, too often...give me a toggle for genie, that's all I'm asking for ...
as for the name: Modesto![]()
OMG. When you said Clippy-esque I was appalled at the idea that it literally could be Clippy-esque, which would be horrendous.AI-assisted writing in Pages sounds interesting: now instead of spending all of 5 seconds thinking of what to write in MacRumors comments or tweeting every random thought in my head on social media, I can get SiriGPT to do it for me. 🤪
But AI code writing in Xcode? As if Xcode doesn't run slow enough on my old iMac even without an AI making Clippy-esque suggestions every so often. 😭
Same. It ruins everything it touches.I'm so tired of all this AI BS already...![]()
...yes, it will progressively replace disappearing human intelligence.Better get used to it or learn to ignore it because it's not going away
macOS Rincon.
SiriGPT? All your comments will be “oh no, something went wrong. One second… Please try again later.”AI-assisted writing in Pages sounds interesting: now instead of spending all of 5 seconds thinking of what to write in MacRumors comments or tweeting every random thought in my head on social media, I can get SiriGPT to do it for me. 🤪
Yeah, such is a hype cycle. We have to live with it until these corpos find the “next big thing” which might be equally annoying or even worse, who knows.I'm so tired of all this AI BS already...![]()
It would have to be converted from completely offline app to having to contact some api somewhere to get current exchange rates. But yeah, would be cool. Though, to be honest, I have seen so many people who would rather type into Google whatever they need to calculate than to open calculator on their devicesA small thing but I'd love a calculator that could convert currency
I type this on an iPad. I’d like a calculator at all.A small thing but I'd love a calculator that could convert currency
To do that you need to know the current exchange rates. This is an example of what Siri can't do without being more sophisticated when drawing upon more data then some online explanation instead of the answer you want. At best Siri is like referencing a dictionary, encyclopedia, or basic calculator, not exact numerical data/stats from the web. Would be a nice goal to attain when Siri is able to understand longer text.A small thing but I'd love a calculator that could convert currency
You mean at least as cool as Window's or Linux's calculators are?It would have to be converted from completely offline app to having to contact some api somewhere to get current exchange rates. But yeah, would be cool.
