Today we announce … a mouse that not only looks good … but actually functions well too … a mouse that - follow me here - you don’t need to stop using and turn upside down to charge … 16 years of intense design & planning across several Apple teams … we introduce you to … the Apple Mousemax

The quality control of Logitech has deteriorated significantly. I wouldn't want to own any new product from Logitech even if it's promoted by Apple.

Logitech is a bit like IKEA. They make a lot of cheap junky stuff at the lowest price points, but also a lot of really high quality products which are some of the best in the industry, if you’re willing to pay a little more.

I used Magic Mouse for many, many years. Miss the multitouch scrolling and gestures, but it’s not enough to make up for the bad ergonomics, uselessness for gaming, etc.

I love my Logitech G305 mouse!

Honestly, who uses a mouse anymore?

We've all gotten so used to trackpads by now, and they're much more expressive and accurate anyway.

Navigation with a mouse is so slow, feels like the stone age compared to a trackpad.

The only people I know using mice are people over 50.
No trackpad will ever beat the speed and accuracy of a physical mouse.

26? Come on how long does it take lol

Yeah, that’s pretty disappointing. Of course designing, prototyping, and testing world-class hardware does take years if you want to do it properly. But it’s not like the need for a new mouse design hasn’t been obvious for quite a number of years already…

Dude, I feel offended and I’m not even 40 yet.

Sent using my Magic Mouse & Magic Keyboard

Hopefully more emphasis on function, less on style.
I can’t even use the current one for more than a few minutes.
Either use Logitech ergo mouse or the Apple Trackpad

This took about a half-hour to design.

I’m guessing you don’t have a job that requires a computer, because a mouse makes a world of difference. Especially if you’re dealing with things like Excel spreadsheets.

The magic mouse is literally the most uncomfortable mouse I've ever used. Hot garbage. Make it support the palm and maybe we will try again.
And even if you can get used to the ergonomics (this helps a bit) it is heavy and doesn't track particularly well.

Apple has a long and storied history of making terrible mice.

- the puck, which was a perfect circle you couldn't orient in your hand without looking down at it

- the one with a little rubber pea for a scroll wheel that would stop working after a while, so you had to dig it out with a pin and clean it with alcohol

- the transparent one that somehow didn't have right-click well into the era when all mice had minimum two buttons

As much as I love Apple's industrial design for most of their products, they just can't seem to make a good mouse, and I am very skeptical this next one won't also suck in some way nobody has even thought of yet.

Graphic design, as well. I have tried over and over to work with a Magic Trackpad but it's just horrible, and I go back to a mouse (currently a Logitech G305 which I love) every time.

This took about a half-hour to design.

Forgive me if I sound like a r broken record here but I believe this design was deliberately chosen, above all other reasons, to prevent the Mouse being used while connected to the charging cable — to prevent cable damage, as happens so often with iPhones used while charging.
I’ve been using the Magic Mouse for daily work (with an iMac) for over 7 years now. It’s never caused fatigue, strain or any other issues. I find it very comfortable and easy to use. Obviously, others’ mileage may vary from mine. Nevertheless, it’s obvious that the current form works well for some (many?) of us.

Natural scrolling needs separated between trackpads and mice. I’d like to see all color options a la carte.
I have an MX KBM sitting in their boxes for a couple years, never use them. The surface of the mouse gets grimy for no reason, I can wash my hands every hour (that already don’t sweat much) and it’s still a displeasure to use.
I use my trackpad and a wacom anymore. Pending any compelling changes, I could try a magic mouse again.
