I don't think the mb will come in other sizes. I'd say there's a greater chance in a mb air upgrade with retina and different sizes. Mb will always be about portability imo which involves a small shell no bigger than we see now.
Yeah, I thought 2.03 pounds was light, but Samsung's new Notebook 9 laptop is a full 13inches and is only 1.85 pounds. The macbook needs wireless charging to remove the other 2 ports
I want it ligther
Same price, better specs. It took quite a while for the Air to drop in price as much as it has now.
I wasn't including the extremely overpriced first genThose are European prices and entry level devices but watch this.
MacBook Air -- [ jan. 2008 ] -- 1699,- | 80GB 4200-rpm
MacBook Air -- [ oct. 2008 ] -- 1699,- | 120GB 4200-rpm

Skylake, 720p FaceTime, and a price cut to $1,099 or so would be nice. I'd also like to see them push out a 14" version and kill off the Air entirely to clean up the laptop line a little. 12/14 MacBook and 13/15 MacBook Pro. The whole Air moniker doesn't make sense anymore.
If we really wanted to think outside the box, I'd love to see either Touch ID integrated into the trackpad or perhaps some kind of retina/face recognition security feature via the FaceTime camera. As laptops get smaller and become more mobile, they run the risk of being lost or stolen. With Safari keychain auto filling my passwords and credit cards, I would be happy to know my MacBook was as secure as my iPhone/iPad.
seems that the macbook will updated for skylake but the new rumours suggest that will get the rose gold colour too
i think these will be on female side a must buy for light work browse mail etc

Apple still without Skylake... with Kaby Lake just around the corner.
Since almost every meaningful Apple product has been copied and cloned since 2001 it makes sense to keep quiet and keep competitors at bay as long as they can.
But more importantly, Apple likes to make announcements and then have products in stores within weeks, it makes people count the days until the keynote, it's simply good marketing.
