What to Grab At Best Buy For Day One Protection?

They likely have at least 10 of each type of case, LOTS of the Zagg shields (full/screen/etc), all sorts of other things like chargers, etc.

It doesn't look like anyone has been pilfering them yet....'cept me of course.
 
it looks like my phone will be delivered tomorrow. i really hope best buy has something i can at least temporarily put my phone in until i can find a case i really like.
 
do you guys think the iphone 3gs case fit the iphone 4 as temporary case?
 
I have the Contour Showcase for my 3G which I absolutely love. Anyone know if there is a clear polycarbonate case out for the 4? If not I may hold off purchasing one till there is.
 
^^ Dunno. As soon as one of my iPhone 4's hits today, I'll try out all three and keep the one that works best. Easy open packages for the lot of them will make it easy to return the losers to BB.
 
I went to my local BB, they said they had cases out and decided to take them off the racks until Thursday and also told me that I can't have one...how stupid?
 
i went to best buy and they didn't have any out, so i asked the guy and he said they had them but they weren't supposed to sell them until the iphone 4 came out. i then showed him my phone and he agreed to take the out and sell me one. i probably won't keep the case i got because i don't really like it, but it will have to do until incase or someone good comes out with cases.

What kind did you get? How much was it?
 
I just went to a bb they had all the Rocketfish cases, Élan Wallet case, Griffin reveal, Ifrogz and Invisible shields there.

I came to another and they have zero

So I guess it just depends
 
that reveal case looks pretty good. I'm going to stop by there after work and see what they have eventhough I don't think I want a case.

I just bought this and put it on my iPhone 4. It is a nice case and will do the job until my actual Apple Bumper ships, or until Belkin has the grip vue for iphone out.

That's funny - I did the same thing this morning, and now I just saw your post. Guess I'm not the only one that thought "what soft pouch do I have on hand that will fit the IP4?"

I'm using an old iPod soft pouch. Fits perfectly.

I have a similar story. The manager told me they were not in yet. I then went over to the manager of the phone dept. And she had them in a locked drawer, but had no problem showing and selling me case or two. She asked if she could hold the new IPhone 4 and I said go head. She took some pics and video and then we opened up the three cases in stock and I purchases an IFROGZ simple green case and a Griffin. I am at. DR. Appointment & will post pics later.
 
when i showed the ppl in the phone dept my phone, they didn't even flinch. i couldn't believe they didn't care to see the new phone or anything. anyway, i hope they come out with some better cases soon.
