But if only referring to iOS products, I had the original iPhone, back when the only apps were web apps; before the app store. It was a life changer for sure.

Latter models designated iPod Classic, they're so useful I bought a new one to keep as a spare when my current year old model fails which won't be anytime soon, they're extremely durable.

A great highly useful model, it was so fault free and profitable, Apple got nervous and killed it...

In this new Era for Apple, reliable and bug free has become a dangerous and rare combination to be avoided... Ha.. Ha.. Ha..

Just got my first ever iPad. It's a first-generation 64GB WiFi-only model. Only $80! Although reportedly gimpy, this model has been completely adequate for me so far. I use it as an e-reader and do some gaming and light browsing.

First iPhone was OG iPhone

my first was the 3rd gen iPod. i do still have it, but the hdd is dead and i would guess the battery life would be abysmal.

then 2nd gen iPod touch, then iPhone 4, 5, and now 6.

Not an iDevice... But my first handheld device from apple was a Newton 110. Still have the 110 in my garage.

First iDevice was the original iMac in bondi green. First handheld iDevice was the original iPod (still have it somewhere).

It's complicated

Well, my first idevice was SUPPOSED to be an iPod, probably 3rd or 4th gen, that I ordered from Apple back in 2003. I never received it, but FedEx claimed they delivered it, and to this day we still don't know what happened to that iPod, and I had to eat the cost, $400+tax. (Life Pro Tip- NEVER have a signature on file with FedEx, no matter how convenient it seems- you've signed away all responsibility for delivering the package.)

So then I ordered a Dell DJ and had that for a few years (the computer software for that was awful, admittedly), but at least I had something.

Then in 2006 I was able to cobble together enough funds to order a white iMac, along with a free 1st gen iPod nano, giving Apple a second chance, and those were my first.

iPod 4th & 5th Generation, when they released that color screen, it was gorgeous. Played a lot of music videos, made my friends at the time a lil' jealous.
First iPhone was the 4S, switched from a Blackberry torch.(Bc of work). When I finally had the freedom, I switched.
