last rev ibook g4, 14 inch, 1.42 ghz, 1gb ram. came with 512mb ram and tiger. so i upgraded the ram and installed leopard. that thing ran great but after 3 years with it i couldnt resist the white macbook...and then 7 months later i couldnt resist the aluminum macbook.

I've been using Mac desktops and I only got my first laptop last month.

A secondhand White Early 2008 Macbook. I've upgraded the RAM to 4Gb and I couldn't be happier. Especially as I paid just £250 for the machine. :p

My first Apple laptop was a 2000 Graphite iBook SE 466mhz with FW and a DVD-ROM. I bought it for $300 in 2005, tore it apart, put in an 80GB drive, an airport card, and maxed out the RAM. It went for $700 on eBay.
I then got a 2004 1.2Ghz 768RAM iBook Dual USB for $800.

I wish I still had the clamshell iBook but I needed to sell it at the time. The iceBook still runs great. I also have an old original PowerBook my uncle gave me, but I don't know much about it, it stills runs OS8.

Next up is a MacBook Pro.

15" 1.25ghz Powerbook. I believe it's about done for though. Hard drive problem or perhaps an overheat issue. The new Macbook is looking pretty good right now.

292MHz PowerBook G3 Series Wallstreet I

Lovely curves tho' and it even had its own aluminium "look" carrying case.

my first was an 800mhz iBook 12" upgraded the ram to 768 I believe. Purchased 2004 new year. Running well still and I have given it to my sister. Great little thing, did all my university work on it:). Hopefully it can keep going for as long as it can. To be honest it has enough power for word processing and web/e-mail so I can see it doing another 2/3 years
:D:D:D

I got interested in getting a mac in the winter of 2005, then I heard about the intel transition so I waited till the macbook came out 2006.

PowerBook G3 Pismo (350mhz) was the first to have FireWire and I sprung for the "big" 20gb hard drive!

I went with the 500 MHz PowerBook G3 Pismo from middle school up until my senior year of high school. I loved that machine. Expansion bay (Zip, SuperDisk, dual battery options, etc.), FireWire, good looks...man, it was tough letting that one go.

I've had a PowerBook G4 (aluminum) and now the most recent MacBook Pro, and while I certainly enjoy using the more updated laptops, I don't think anything will top the Pismo.

Bougt it in june 2005 and I still use it. It's a bit slow for my needs but I can cope with that until the nehalem mac pro is introduced.

This first release MacBook in May '06 but I bought my daughter a 12" PowerBook for graduation May '05. Both machines still work wonderfully.

My first Mac laptop was an early 2008 white macbook which i got in a sale in Nov 08 for £600 and i still use it.

First generation Core 2 Duo, Black MacBook. 2.0GHz T7200, 1GB Ram, 120GB HDD... I'm glad I opted the black instead of the white.. I really liked the black.

12" 800 Mhz iBook G3, with the combo drive and 30 GB HDD. It's nearly dead now, but I actually used it last night to clone my iBook G4's hard drive, so it's not forgotten.:)
