Yes but they shouldn't even have a 16gb model at this point. That's why their sales took a hit.
While I agree that they should have moved on from 16 GB by now, somehow I don't think that had much to do with the expected decline in sales.

yeah like facetime, imessage, touch id, 3D touch, siri....... freaking apple always copying their major features from android

I'll give you facetime and imessage, but Motorola had a fingerprint scanner first.... 3D touch is a gimmicky version (at this time) of long pressing in Android for quick menus, and siri....wow siri is just SOOOOOOOO functional. See I can roll my eyes too.

Don't get me wrong, Apple has had some pretty cool stuff and the way they market it it all is genius and successful. My original post was semi in jest of the whole Android vs Apple, but these days I just shrug it off when Apple "claims" to intro something revolutionary. Apple is good at bringing the whole package together for an enjoyable experience. But they're also good at getting the fans to think Apple knows what is best for them or turn a blind eye to their supposed "innovations".

In his defense Apple did barrow mobile payments and fingerprint sensors are nowhere new. Tbh it would not kill them to "copy" Android's notifications. Seriously iOS is 2010 vs 2016 when it comes to notifications.

Thank you. And Samsung Pay is amazing. No NFC needed. Anywhere a magnetic strip can be used with a card, so can Samsung Pay. But again, Apple is GREAT at marketing.

Earlier in 2015 Samsung acquired mobile payment company LoopPay which developed the specific MST technology used for Samsung Pay.

At the same time a fingerprint send so that was there before is essentially nothing compare to what TouchID is like and certainly didn't push the industry to having it as a basic built in and simple and quick to use item as TouchID did. Siri might not be that great, but again, who had it out and as basic and simple to use part of the phone before Apple? While you might not care about 3D Touch and while some things could be done just by taping and holding its not the same by far and can do much more even though it's in its early stages for the moment.

Probably something that Android has had for at least two major OS updates....just sayin...

The iPod wasn't the first mp3 player but changed the music industry and how we consume music
The iPhone wasn't the first smart phone but it became the gold standard that other manufacturers had to follow.
The iPad wasn't the first tablet, it got laughed at for being a big iPhone and a few years later it was in everyone's hands.
The Apple watch is not the first smart watch but it sold more units than all the others combined.

...Just sayin'

Siri did. It was an app that Apple purchased. Apple expanded on someone else's idea and creation...is that something?

Having it built in that is part of the OS itself and can do more than an app and pushed other manufacturers to create their own native built in versions that can do more than an app, seems like inspired progress (given that separate apps that were around before certainly didn't seem to push anyone else to do it before Apple actually went ahead and did it).

I really wasn't trying to one up Apple there. I was just saying that Samsung acquiring that tech is awesome. Just like Apple has acquired, not invented a crap load of tech and brilliantly marketed it. That's all I was really getting at. You guys are way too sensitive lol.

Smartphone innovation has run its course. iPhone is not the product to look for insane must have innovation any longer. I'd sure love a smaller bezel sized SE type though.

What will Tim Cook’s ‘can’t live without’ new feature for iPhone 7 be?

What do you think?
There won't be one. Yet Cook is bound to use the Apple Smoke and Mirrors Hype Machine.

The Apple Logo alone assures headlines, fat profit and the kind of buzz the Cupertino Co craves.

Why? Pretty much all the releases included something new beyond upgrades and improvements to things that are already there.

3D Touch was a new feature, Live Photos was a new feature. Granted they weren't probably what people were expecting, but I do think some people have too high of expectations, take the iPhone 7 rumours for example, it's rumoured to have dual camera but some people are stI'll not happy and that's only one of the rumoured features, I'd bet that there are other features we don't know about yet.

Given the hype of the 6S was that everything changes....I'm going with more makerting BS. The only reason I got the 6S plus was 2GB of ram, got annoyed with crashes due to ram. All the other features are gimmicks , had the 5SE been out I would have got that , and saved myself £££

I like how you said "pretty much all " ;)

After saving some little £££ you will be given a recycled brick with some insufficient upgrades

I'm not sure what you are trying to convey.

Inspired progress? That's a stretch, adding it into the OS only makes sense to access OS function which would more accurately be defined as natural progress.

Devs of Siri always remarked how much more powerful it could be without iOS restrictions so even the function it has now was something the devs wish it could have had prior to its acquisition.
