What will Tim Cook’s ‘can’t live without’ new feature for iPhone 7 be?

6 plus was the worst iPhone I ever had and I've had all but the 5c at this point. It's possible I love my 6s plus so much because of this fact. As kid browsing and multitasking I do between 3-4 apps, the phone was borderline unusable. It seemed to get worse with age.

Agree. I've also owned all of them except the 5C and the 6 Plus was a lemon, I'm suprised they launched what I would consider a flawed device to save pennies on ram. All of the 6S plus other upgrades were gimmicks for me, but the 2 GB of ram, meant I had a working phone, and I can now say the 6S plus is an excellent phone.

Completely agree that it got worse with time, apple replaced it for me, though same issue, so I sold it and used my 5S for 3 months, it was a great experience having a phone that just worked. Using the exact same restore, the 5S worked a charm, the 6 plus was unstable, crash...crash...crash...check log, memory

In his defense Apple did barrow mobile payments and fingerprint sensors are nowhere new. Tbh it would not kill them to "copy" Android's notifications. Seriously iOS is 2010 vs 2016 when it comes to notifications.

So this. Notification organisation is one thing I hate about iOS.

I'll give you facetime and imessage, but Motorola had a fingerprint scanner first.... 3D touch is a gimmicky version (at this time) of long pressing in Android for quick menus, and siri....wow siri is just SOOOOOOOO functional. See I can roll my eyes too.

No, the iOS equivalent to long press is (drumroll please) long press. 3D Touch serves a completely different function.

Whatever features Apple puts in next iPhone won't matter if they are still offering old IPS panels.

The next iPhone needs

1. SAMOLED display with following resolutions.
7 Plus: 1242 × 2208 with no bullcarp upscaling/downscaling wizardry. Fit those damn pixels in 5.5" or 5.7" display.
7 : 1080 x 1920

Both the models must have USB 3 transfer speed over lightning port.

I wouldn't mind if Apple kept the same panels, as good as the sAMOLED panels are. But beside the point, you complained about the iPhone downscaling, but then you said that the 7 would have a 1080x1920, which would require downscaling because it does not fit with the native resolution. I think 1125x2000 would be more ideal as it is 3x the native resolution of 375x667.
