I received 15+ responses for my iPad 16gb wifi with Marware case for $400 on CL last week. Sold it to my friend though for $400.

Sold 32GB Wifi iPad 2 for $550 (incl. shipping) 1 month ago on eBay.

Timing is everything on the resale market.

My iPad2 16gig wifi only is on eBay right now. The auction ends tomorrow night and so far it's up to $232-. I'm hoping it sells for about $300- to offset some of the cost of my new purchase!!

Time is of the essence...

Prob best option is to start with a £0.99/$0.99 start price and a 24 hour auction on eBay. Though 24hour auction forces Paypal, this way less likely to have a non paying bidder aswell.

Though eBay now charge 10% fees and then around 3.5% Paypal fees (can't remember exact amount), even though it will get you around 13.5% less than the selling price it will probably still be less of a drop come Wednesday.

eBay now or worth less come Wednesday

Sold my 16GB/ATT with well-used black leather smart cover for $519 on eBay on Thursday 3/1. :D

Just sold my 64gb, 3g ipad 2 on ebay for $550 shipped. Guy hasn't paid yet but I am sure he will.

The disparity among capacities is down to dollars and cents now. Yikes.

$519 is really good for a 16/AT&T on ebay. Generally they're going in the low $400's right now. The disparity is less than the MSRP difference, but your sample choices are leading you to the wrong conclusion.

Alright, maybe I can get some opinions besides my own on this. I have an iPad 2 16GB Wifi only, selling it with a smart cover and matching Incipio Smart Feather. I've got a CL ad for $400, but I've got a solid offer for $350. I've also got an auction up on eBay, currently $320 with no bids & Buy it now for $400, ending in 23 hours. Forgetting eBay fees (got a free insertion and final value fee), should I go with the $350 offer or wait out my auction?

Sold my 16gb wifi black ipad 2 with grey smart cover for £325 on ebay Today so after ebay and paypal fees i'll clear around £295,

Your very lucky if you can clear over £300 at this point so I'm happy with what i got, Banked and ready for the ipad 3 :)

I just hope this will be a worth while upgrade unlike the iphone 4 to 4gs what a disapointment that was!

I think a lot of it depends on who see's it and their knowledge of iPads. I'm still seeing iPad 1's selling for $400 on ebay.

Sometimes you just have to find the right chump.

Take the $350.

Even if someone bites on the BIN, they may not pay immediately. Instead they may opt to wait until the announcement and have a change of heart. By then, the prospective CL buyer may have since lost interest or found a better deal.

Time is of the essence. That $50 difference can quickly turn into $150.

Take the $350 NOW.

Last year, 16GB wifi refurbs went to $350 from Apple as of the day of announcement, brand new ones went on clearance at $400.

That's going to be very tough to compete against in a day and a half.

as fraggot mentions you *might* get lucky and get $400 high bid on ebay, though it'll be tough given how many lower priced buy-it-nows are listed. If you do, you'll do well to net $350 in your pocket after fees and shipping. The CL buyer is the one to take ASAP, if you've not already lost that opportunity by waiting.

16gb

Sold my 16GB white, wifi only model today for $350. more then satisfied with that price. Was a real quick sale on CL.

A day ago on Craigslist, I sold an iPad 2 32GB wifi black, zero scratches on the back, some micro scratches on the front, with a black Switcheasy Nude case for $550 with a later jailbreak service. All boxes and wires included.

For me, mentioning the jailbreak services really entices the customer as a lot of apps are expensive and that makes them more inclined to purchase.

I got lucky then. Sold my iPad 2 Wifi + 3G 64GB AT&T for $601.09. Then two days later, sold my wife's (same model) for $560. I would have sold earlier, but I didn't want to be without my iPad that long. So, I'm praying that the iPad 3 (HD) is available Friday. lol.

Theirs quite a bit of Ipads on CL right now, hmm I wonder why:D

Those of you wanting to sell now, well just get what you can. I think you'd have to throw in some extras to get folks attention at this point. i.e. smart cover/ Jailbreak/ quality apps/ connections, thats what I would look for and will be if this ipad3 turns out to be weak sauce..

I need an opinion. I am selling my 16GB iPad 2, poly smart cover, speck rear shell, and Zagg screen protector. Have all the original cables and boxes. I currently have a local buyer for $460. Should I go higher?

Here are the recent completed eBay sales for 16GB Wifi black ipad2's: http://www.ebay.com/ccg/Apple-iPad-...lets&_pdpexp=2&_ssov=1&_trksid=p5360.c0.m1539
These searches are easy to do, and show what the market is paying for various configurations.

If you have someone ready to pay $460 for a wifi 16GB ipad2, get the money ASAP. As of tomorrow your value will likely drop precipitously.
Remember Apple cut prices $100 across the board on announcement day:
