I remember reading somewhere how Apple makes great software to go with their hardware.o_O
Looks like we have emojis for software and non existence hardware in 2016/2017 for everything else.

Still cant change toggles in control centre... not sure if this will ever come, this can't be that hard to program.

But please, give us dark mode on IOS 10.3!
I'm still waiting for the mobile data toggle to be added. The headers since 10 beta have shown it but no progress since :(

Hmm... isn't it a bit surprising for a full point release (0.1 addition instead of a 0.01) without a hallmark feature? 10.1 released portrait mode... I was hoping that 10.2 would have some more iPad productivity features...

10.2 doesn't appear on my software update. I resigned on the Beta Program and still no update, I had no problem when I installed 10.1 beta. I did however install 10.1.1, is this the reason? Let me know, thanks.

I wonder why they aren't adding the ability to preserve the HDR option? I'm really sick of having to manually enable HDR every time I open the camera app. 90% of the time I prefer the HDR photo, so I always shoot with HDR enabled + save original, that way I can choose the best photo later on. The fact that HDR defaults back to auto all the time is super frustrating.

There might still be one, but it doesn't really have a "main" one, just as long as it has something new (vs just something fixed/improved).

Public beta for 10.2 hasn't been released yet.

any one started to notice that his iphone 6 started to stutter and jam after upgrading to 10.1?

Not the enlightened ones who stayed on iOS 9. You learned your lesson the hard way. Don't forget it next time around.

Ohhhhh gotcha, I thought people started using it already.

They have, those that get the developer betas (vs public betas).

Or plenty "enlightned ones" who aren't experiencing those issues on their devices with iOS 10.

You can now set your Favourite accessories in control centre to show the correct Homekit setup if you have more than one home added based on location.

E.g. If I am at work, the work lights are shown. When I go home, my home devices are shown.

Previously you had to change them manually in the Home App.

Also when listening to audio via Bluetooth headphones, the Bluetooth icon in the status bar changes to headphones.

Apologies if I'm missing the obvious but it appears 10.2 Beta 1 removed the option to view only those movies and TV shows you've purchased and downloaded. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Hey Apple, where is the star rating system? You took it away now give it back. A lot of your fans, which is dwindling fast, have their music rated for organizational purposes. GIVE. IT. BACK. Please.

Isn't it back in iOS 10.2?

I think we're nearing a stage where the 10 year mark on the whole 4"-6" 'screen in your pocket' has become the norm and each update is simply different, not necessarily better or worse. People are looking to Apple to show them the future and I just feel it has to be more than Force Touch and Bluetooth EarPods. @tim - Apple needs to dive back into the mantra where technology becomes more natural, gets out of the way, and enhances lives. It doesn't mean new wallpapers. It means really really challenging your talent to continue to reimagine what the pocket device can do. Your move.

Think it's your move? No? New wallpapers and emojis are part of the experience; otherwise car makers wouldn't release a new/updated model every year.

I like the headphones battery icon. Now it's easy to differentiate batteries with multiple devices connected right from the status bar.

So ignoring the fact the iphone 6 and iphone 6s were best sellers and a myriad of new functionality on both hardware and software has been added yearly, you think the iphones have stagnated because a few emojis and wallpapers have been added? Interesting. It may be your opinion but it doesn't jive with the differences between the iphone 6 and iphone 7.

iPhone 1 brought the world a whole new device, the smartphone. A staggering innovation compared with the awful implementations from Nokia and Microsoft

iPhone 2 (or 3 as it was called) moved this forward and added 3G. Incremental, but a massive improvement on the iPhone1

iPhone3s - incremental

iPhone4 brought the retina screen an wonderful innovation and massively updated the look and feel

iPhone4s - incremental

iPhone5 brought not-a-lot except for the screen size change and lightning connectors

iPhone5s - incremental

iPhone6 brought the excellent fingerprint reader. Brilliant innovation and very well executed. IMHO the best phone to date

iPhone6s brought "incremental" improvements or not-a-lot

iPhone7 brought waterproofing which is a good feature although available on other phones for some time (Apple playing catch-up). It also lost the universal phone socket which means adapters need to be used for existing peripherals, a massive sub-optimal step backwards. A dealbreaker for many, definitely for me.

I've owned all of the major updates - 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6. I will definitely not be buying an iPhone7. If I had to replace my phone I would consider buying out of the Apple ecosystem - would be very expensive as I've some specialist applications which I use.

But hey, I'm just one person and everyone else is happy.

actually of the bunch the 5s should have been called the 6. The 6s, 7 and 7, 8. That's my take on it.

I have nothing holding me to Apple, whereby switching would be not expensive, but my entire (extended) family is Apple and would miss the face time and iMessage and throwing photos around via airdrop at family events, etc. Not to mentioned the reliability and support.

Knowing what I know now would not have done anything differently with my mobile needs.

Unfortunately so.Even on MacOS.Didnt you see the Professional laptop they introduced had a touch bar for emojis?I am predicting Teletubbies outfits next
One thing that that bar can do is emojis, among tons of other things that it can do and would be used for. But of course that means the only thing it can do is emojis and that's all that it would be used for. The spin just doesn't stop.

Anyone know when this bata expires as per apple's developer program? I'm rocking it on my 5s and it's spectacular. Installed beta 2 and it was slow and laggy so i downgraded back to beta 1 but am afraid i'll wake up one day with a brick next to my pillow.

Just wanna know how long i have till that happens.

Thank!
