Every time I try to use the beta, CarPlay is terribly slow, to a point where it's unusable. Has this improved with the new betas?

I’m not having any issue with CarPlay. Are you using an Apple cable or third party? Did you try a reset of your device?

Why are the tabs on the left? Tabs are on the right of a contact/address book. Why are the check marks on the right? Did Apple switch the marks to the right, too?

The Tabs are on the right on B4 on My iPad Pro. Haven't installed it yet on a phone.

Love my iPhone, but lately it has become so boring and iOS 11 doesn't do anything new.

I just had a bad experience at an Apple Store, so I'm really angry right now, but that aside, yeah, nothing really new in iOS 11.

There’s so little there for iPhone users that I wouldn’t recommend installing the betas yet. Especially if you spend a lot of time browsing the web over LTE. Maybe it’s just with my carrier (AT&T) but if I’m actively browsing the web on PB 2 my battery life drops down to 50% within an hour and the device is very warm. I never had battery issues this bad with any previous public betas and I’ve been beta testing since the program started.

Battery life always takes a hit in early iOS betas but it’s never been this bad. If I’m not actively browsing over LTE battery life is normal (by previous early iOS beta standards).

Please someone tell me Do Not Disturb now allows you to create different settings for weekdays and weekends.

A thought: What if the dots in the reminder icon are on the right because Apple intends to move the "complete toggle" for reminders to the right?

e.g:

Reminder A o
Reminder B •
Reminder C o
Reminder D •

- New icons - Apple has introduced new icons for the Contacts, Notes, and Reminders app. Some of the app icons may be bugged for some people, showing certain details, like bullets for Reminders, on the wrong side of the icon. This is because Apple inverts the icons for languages that read right to left instead of left to right, and it should be fixed in a later beta.

Almost all of the default app icons were updated actually, not just those 3. In addition to Contacts, Notes, and Reminders, other app icons that were updated are News, Photos, Weather, Phone, Messages, Mail, FaceTime, iBooks, iTunes Store, Home, Safari. Most are very minor changes and not noticeable unless you go back and forth between the old and new ones.

The icons aren't new they are the low-res versions designed for the smaller phones, so a major bug there.

Please, oh please, let the Bluetooth being dropped on the Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitor app work properly again.

I know, I should not have tried it out on my iPhone 6 Plus.

Never never never again will I go beta on something that is critical to my health.

Still no tab or section in the App Store for previous downloads. Why’d they remove that?

I’d love to switch of that god awful bar under messages. oh, wait it’s bugging out and disappearing haha.

You can disable it by pressing the App Store button

I'll take boring:
  • iOS versions
  • Airplane rides
  • "Talks" with my Boss
  • Babysitting jobs
  • Hotel room stays (I had an exciting one once on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando where the adjacent rooms were opened with Orange County Deputies hauling out girls and their clients...)

I don’t know if it was just that this past public beta was so horrible (an abnormal number of bugs and no swiping on notifications?!), but this next beta feels like 50 steps forward!

I’m most excited about the Notification Center! Swiping a notification to clear it is so much easier. Just swiping a notification at all after this last public beta is a huge improvement.

Also, pulling to refresh Updates in the App Store—that’s a feature that’s been way overdue.

cool tweaks... All minor visually.. Good that you can now clear Notifications . Capacity shown is good too...

And update refresh.... so you no longer need to tap "update" tab 10 times to refresh App Store.:) Works just like checking Mail..

- App Store - There's now an option to pull downwards to refresh the App Store's Updates tab.

I’d just like to point out the basic behaviour of pull down to refresh the updates pane has never changed and been around for years... the most significant change here is Apple have brought back the spinner to tell you it is checking again.

Lol, I never noticed before that the current icon has a man's silhouette only. I see how we are being more egalitarian. In a few years we will need to add the bot silhouettes from Mystery Science Theater 3000 if AI develops as projected.

I almost never use the contacts icon by itself. I get to my contacts when I use the phone or in email.

I don't do betas but I'm tempted on this one. I have other phones and backs ups of my stuff so the temptation to sneak a preview is there, but I'll just read for now.

Anyone having issues with safari after the update? I tried rebooting, and resetting all my settings. But when I use safari on my 10.5 ipad, and my iPhone 6s Plus. It freezes and becomes unusable. Chrome works perfect, but safari is useless to me.
