I got early access to what Apple Intelligence is going to be/use (ChatGPT) using magic and it proved my point so I'm not exactly sure what you are disagreeing here.

I'm disagreeing with you describing the regular iPhones as appearing laggy due to 60hz. There's no doubting the ProMotion displays offer incredible smoothness, but the regular iPhone displays are really excellent - too.

I love ProMotion, but to say 60hz refresh on Apple's non-Pro iPhones makes them look laggy is unfair. The displays are fine-tuned to be extraordinarily performant.
60Hz fixed refresh rate is so 2017. A variable refresh rate 120hz has significantly les lag. "The displays are fine-tuned to be extraordinarily performant." This sentence has no meaning.

They are left in the dust by any cheap Android phone with 120HGz variable refresh rate screen. Stop being dellusional.

Cheap Android phones don't have anything like the quality of the Super Retina XDR display. I'd take the regular iPhone display over anything Android running at 120hz with horrible image reproduction quality and colour accuracy.

Where did I say base model iPhone display looks laggy in general and not in comparison to 120hz phones?
And no you are disagreeing with Apple Intelligence in future, how dare you?

While people seem to want and celebrate thin bezels as they are nice to look at, I find the 15 pro to be too thin and impact usability. I constantly get false taps from just holding the device so scrolling becomes zooming, or apps randomly open. I suppose the solution would be to use a case
No, the solution would be to use Apple Intelligence for something worthwile for a change and detect unwanted touches near the border.

I feel like he is just trolling, his signature says he has Apple Watch series 8 Ultra 😵‍💫

I botched the signature edit. I upgraded from Apple Watch Series to Apple Watch Ultra. I have an Apple Watch Ultra 2 now anyway. I have the iPad Pros M4 as well, so that's out of date. If you spot any errors in my signature in future, please let me know. Clearly you are paying greater attention than me. :D

I constantly get false taps from just holding the device so scrolling becomes zooming, or apps randomly open. I suppose the solution would be to use a case, which then seems to defeat the purpose of the thin bezel in the first place. Hopefully the 16 does better in this regard, but I won’t hold my breath.
Before getting my 14PM, I had a Note 20 Ultra. It was a nice phone but the lack of bezels and the curved screen (at least Apple didn’t go down that path) was super annoying because my palm would constantly cause phantom touches. The only way I could fix it was to put a chunky case on it. The bezels on my 14PM are fine and I wouldn’t want them smaller.

It's a never before seen, jaw dropping display with gorgeous colors, industry first calibration, unbelieveable refresh rates, breakthrough durability, and phenomenal brightness. It's the best display we've ever created. We think you are going to possibly be pleased with it.
60hz and 2016 would like a word.
😂🤣🤣

I mean, all the calibration is well and good but it’s disingenuous to suggest 60hz is somehow better or approaching parity with a nice 120hz vrr screen. That’s just a technical difference that all the calibration in the world can’t make up for. And plenty of phones support all those features plus have 120hz. What interests me is that apple is falling prey to their own product design lead-times so sometimes they get caught out with products that seem a few years off- because they are. But let’s be honest, who is actually looking at content that takes advantage of all this? The pro phones this year especially are geared toward videography and it’s not like 90% of people buying them will use any of these features.

Exactly. They are made using almost a decades old technology.
“ fine tuned to be performant “

I’m happy they went out of their way so their supplier can make sure the display from 2016 works well.
Gee thanks apple.

I’ve been saying this since last year.
How many times can we buy the iPhone 12SSSSSSSS

8GB of Apple ram is equal to 16GB of PC Ram.

Trust us.

That’s where we are now. Same exact circle jerk they did with the ram.

What a snoozer of a phone. This upgrade seems less impressive than the 14 to 15. They are really out of ideas, too bad they couldn't get AI working in time for the launch. The iPhone ads are selling apple intelligence, and that's really the best thing they got - and it doesn't show up until 18.1. I'm glad I grabbed a 15. At this pace I'll be right on track for an 18 with some decent upgrades.

They don't look laggy. Less smooth yes, but laggy is too extreme.

You realise you’re trying to argue that someones opinion is “wrong”? Different people are more sensitive to noticing the lower refresh rate to others. When I have to use my wife’s non pro model, or my iPad, it feels like I’m using a cheap stuttery Android device until i adjust and get used to it.

Yes, so once your brain is suitably convinced by the evidence before your eyes - you realise your initial opinion was wrong. You were, in essence, holding your opinion wrong.

Becoming accustomed to something doesn’t mean your initial reaction was “wrong”. Me having an adjustment period was an example, other people claim to notice zero difference between 60 and 120Hz, others claim to take hours and hours to adjust, others minutes.

You can no more claim someone calling the 60hz models “laggy” Is “wrong” than they could call you “wrong“ for calling the 120Hz models “smooth”.
