Steve Jobs doesn't like desks.

Get it right,

He has a toupee mac on his desk. Its in the style of his 80s hair-do and when he puts it on, it inserts images into his optical nerves and a small amount of his favourite narcotic into his spinal column.

Oh and a statue of Bhudda.

I just had a brief moment where I wondered - when Steve Jobs goes home, what computer is sitting on his desk waiting for him?

Is he a desktop-at-home plus notebook-on-the-go kinda guy or a notebook + extra display at home kinda guy?

Does he always have the latest and greatest maxed out system, or is it likely that he's still plugging around on a G4 Cube just because they were pretty nifty?

I wonder...what Mac does Steve use?

(This is the point where everyone comes in and contributes their own theory.)

I'm pretty sure that he doesn't even have a computer on his desk, and he certainly does not have one at home. The iPhone will probably be the only gadget that he uses, and that most probably only for placing phone calls.

Steve Jobs never was a computer guy. His interests have always been in industry design. And making a ******** of money.

What's on Steve Jobs' desk?

A Steve Ballmer Voodoo doll. So the next time you see Ballmer screaming like a maniac, sweating like a pig, or sticking his tongue out, it's really Steve Jobs in his throne room sticking pins in little Stevey Ballmer. ;)

I'm sure he'd have an Air kicking around his home; minimalist in the extreme.
(Oh, and it would have 4GB RAM!)

I thought this thread would still be making a big deal about him using a Sony sometimes when he was at Pixar and some probably think he still uses at home.

Personally, I don't care what computer he uses, but am happy that he runs Apple pretty well compared to other CEOs in high tech who have really made a mess of things, especially the likes of Microsoft and HP in recent years.

I don't currently use any PCs but if I did, it might be fun to get a netbook or cheap VAIO.

iPad

I had this thought that the iPad was invented so it could be the only computer Steve would ever have to use. He probably doesn't need even a laptop anymore but needs more real estate than an iPhone. He probably has a 1TB version though, with a camera.

No, the mat would be straw or pleather, that looks too much like wool. No vegan would be comfortable on wool.

His 1 iLoop office must be minimally appointed and devoid of any computers. If he feels the urge to use a computer, he will go somewhere around the building and nudge an underling out of the way.

If I would have to guess what Jobs is using today, I'm pretty sure he has the new 27" iMac, most likely with a yellow tinge issue.. woah! ;)

I bet he's currently all engrossed in his iPad, one of a select few 3G post-production units in use right now. Guessing he's primarily using it, but as any geek with access to the hardware has has, best of every line I'd imagine.
