Literally nothing other than more granular camera controls. The changes this year were good so we can tone down the HDR, but the noise reduction and sharpening are still crazy. And not gonna lie, it's kind of unhinged to have such a nice feature like ProRAW, but completely kneecap it by baking in processing that can't be toggled. The entire feature is ruined if you do not like the amount of noise reduction, because you can't back that out, it's destructive.

What's Rumored for iOS 19

iOS 19 is rumored to be getting a major design update with visuals inspired by visionOS. It could have a floating, glossy look with a focus on transparency, along with simplified navigation and a reimagining of icons, buttons, and menu bars.

More Apple Intelligence features are in the works, including the updates to Siri that we were supposed to get in iOS 18. We have a list of all the iOS 19 rumors so far in our iOS 19 roundup.

Apple maps to have a speedometer and better police notifications
Carplay phone calls not to take over the carplay screen
Carplay text notifications to not make my ears bleed

Most are pushing for iOS evolution within iOS realm not Android esque iOS. That’s gross to even think of. Already hate the Androidfication of iOS. At this point just get an android
There is a reason why Apple has steadily been going in that direction & it’s very likely going to continue.
People actually want to see a proper design change for iOS not little changes here & there.
The OS needs freshened up it’s about time

It’s terrible really. The Androidification of iOS is honestly sickening.

Hopefully they will go the vision os way. Android should never be the standard for anything.

Auto Apple TV remote when Apple TV is turned on on the same network. It’s clearly me, don’t make it hard to open the screen remote.
This!

My friend has Apple TV, and he often misplaces the remote. In order to sync the app on iPhone with Apple TV, you HAVE to have remote to initiate the connection. The Apple TV app is useless without the remote.

The reason why Apple have been going that way is the majority of their customers have been wanting these features because it was starting to look like iOS was getting outdated.

I do think the icons will change & if what’s believed & been leaked as in potentially early builds then hopefully

Majority? That’s a stretch.

You do realize macrumors and other enthusiasts sites don’t care about that.

The average joe could care less about half the things Android fans who use iOS whine about.

My mother has never said “gee I wish there was a 3rd party App Store”

I’m all for evolution. I don’t want Android esque things on my iPhone there’s a reason why I no longer use that subpar os

I want a Life Dashboard. Bring together several apps into one screen. Calendar, to-do's, workouts, activity, water intake, budget, etc all in one screen.

You can’t get 3rd party app stores in most of the world on iOS?
If it was up to Apple they wouldn’t have allowed that anyway

if this company listened some people on MR & other enthusiasts they would have iOS back to iOS 6 days.

The problem Apple has is this
They should visually & overhaul the OS
However they won’t make that many changes

*More then 5 custom email domains
*More then 3 email addresses per domain
*More then 2 active cellular connections
*Link VOIP lines that support SMS to iMessage
*Require Password to Turn off Phone, Put into Airplane mode.
I don't care about anything you mentioned EXCEPT the last one. I recently had my iPhone stolen and they turned it off. Even though the "Find My" feature still kind of works when the iPhone is off, it did not work at all for me...luckaliy I was able to get my iPhone back thanks to the amazing Hotel Staff figuring out who took it...and she did bring me my iPhone back...however...my whole thing is...I would LOVE a freaking password or FaceID to turn off the iPhone or put it into airplane mode. That would be a super amazing feature.

The only thing on my wish list for iOS + macOS that I've wanted for years is redesigning the Messages app to have similar features to Signal or WhatsApp. Most importantly - being able to archive message threads. I don't like deleting message threads, yet I don't like seeing the clutter every time I open up the app itself.

Fix the reminders app. It has been broken since iOS 7. It takes so long to open, the lag is insane. I get the newest iPhone every year and have uninstalled and reinstalled clean iOS every time but the reminders app is always incredibly lagging.

Not to volunteer for tech support but can't resist this one. No third party accounts? Tried disabling iCloud for Reminders? Seems to me like a sync issue. Sounds like it's waiting for something that's not responding and it's timing out.

Apple should make it easier to edit StandBy clock.
I know right? Why can’t it be setup in settings like control centre used to be? It’s so awkward trying to unlock and edit it on a bedside. Also, while they’re at it: allow us to control home accessories without unlocking.

I would like to see more support for Face/Touch ID on third party apps and websites so I don’t need so many passwords.
Are you familiar with passkeys? A lot of websites/services are offering them now and they can be set up with Apple Passwords so essentially works this way. Unfortunately, it’s not up to Apple which services offer it but more and more should with time.

I think I will switch from Dashlane to Apple Passwords and try the Passkeys feature. Thanks for the advice.

1. Bug fixes & stability
2. Improved Siri & Apple intelligence
3. Improved AI image clean-up - some image cleanup results are unusable and embarrassing. Makes you wonder why it was even released.
4. Split screen multitasking - when devices that are a fraction of the cost and no where near as powerful have this and iPhones don’t just makes iPhone look inferior. Long overdue.
5. Innovation! Something with a wow factor. Apple has become followers rather than innovators. They act as if it’s ground breaking to finally implement features that other devices have had for years. It’s time to start crossing the finish line first with features instead of second.
