I love the rain storms.

Alas, I've tried those YT, sadly not enough in this case (Ditto earplugs, loud music etc). I think a white noise machine may work. It's super duper fan until I can order said machine.

Thank you though. :)

Yeah, I guess that's really more to break up the deafening silence, not cover up intrusive, sleep destructive noise :)

Passed a car hauler on the expressway coming back from the state capital today. On it were about 8 brand new Teslas, all beautiful looking too.

Given that Michigan law prohibits Tesla from selling their cars in the state, I have to wonder where they were coming from and where they were going.

The thought on my mind as I passed by was that the driver could give me one of them... or all of them.

Mom is right... I need to get an iPad for downstairs use because this 8+ is too small. 😶

Take 10 must be the charm.

And that's all I will say about that.

Found an excellent cabin being leased out pretty cheap nearby. Unfortunately, they explicitly disallow pets "of the four legged variety."

Stewart has a big decision ahead of him, choosing his least favorite leg.
😂🤣😂

Please never stop being you....

Actually enjoying the fall as I took my bike to the train station today to go to work. Mom just left Monday back to Canada after a 2-month long visit. We managed to visit Venice for a few days, first vist for both of us and bonus the train ride through the Alps - going at least was great.

Another very good group of students this fall as well. The most interactive and participative so far, plus a bit more diverse with some students from south and east Asia - of course American students tend to be diverse too.

Contemplating about getting the new iPhone 11 Pro Max since I am still using the old iPhone 6.
Welcome, you'll probably really like it, I am tempted but am still happy with my 7 plus.

Maybe you can take it in the opposite direction, and make him a hexapod. Or, at least look hexapodal.

Imagine a band running around his thorax, roughly where a saddle would be on a horse. Then sew a couple of fake legs onto it, and voilá, instant insectoid. Antennae and laterally moving mandibles are optional, but would further enhance the illusion. You probably wouldn't even need a hacksaw to build it.

So at work, the A.C. is on cyrogenic because the free flu shots thing is on our floor today.

It's not even warm and now I am being blasted by meat locker air. The management will not capitulate in turning it down.

🥶🤬🥶🤬🥶

I am thinking warm thoughts now, though tropical would probably be better.

Our heating at work has been out for the last two weeks why they changed the boiler.

Finally got it back on today!

Lead singer would need to be on shrooms for it to be more effective.

Blood pancakes: makes sense. Blood is used instead of eggs and coagulates.

I think some goth fans might argue with this being the most metal breakfast (Could also be goth breakfast). Though you do get plenty of iron in those pancakes.

Hoping I beat the rain home. Our train is slow...

Day off, was planning to do a lot of errands and have a lot of personal admin stuff to do. Baaaaad idea to browse the internet archive and find some old National Geographic magazines we had boxes of when I was a kid. A stroy on hong Kong from 1971 with the line "what will happen in 26 years when the lease on the New Territories runs out" the fellow asked said 26 years is a long time by HK standards. i read this some years later about 79-80 or and did the math wondering what would happen.

Imagine if NatGeo was available nearly a thousand years ago to the people in the European isles. Things would be different today. Maybe.

Got around to reading ABJ's comments about a certain woman this morning. What a colossal ****.
