Several things on my mind:

1) Hoping mom gets good news from hip/knee surgeon.

2) Verizon is offering a year of Disney+ free with an unlimited account. The thing is most of the shows I want to see on D+ won't be available until 2021 or so.

3) IT person/coder for our request software at work may have royally gotten me in very deep water as she did not upload the contact emails for everyone in the firm (which means when I hit email reply after attaching the work I did, the requestor's email was not included.)

This has bern going on since possibly Friday. What's worse, it falls into the same error I was admonished about couple of months ago (I did not double check that folks got the emails with the work I did).

So I am worried...

4) Looks like I am staying put with Apple, but will have to give up the video conversion, which means no more screenshots for reference photos when I draw. Not the end of the world, but a bummer.

5) I am hungry...

Christ on a bike it's hot hot hot! Thank the gods I have plenty of IPA in stock. Just need to find the chips and habanero salsa.

Wait. What?

https://gizmodo.com/recalled-gun-holster-had-one-job-does-the-exact-opposi-1839258037
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Vista Outdoor have issued a recall notice for the company’s Blackhawk T-Series L2C gun holsters after the design was found to potentially “change the position of the safety switch on the firearm without the user knowing it.” So instead of keeping the gun safe and secure, there’s the chance it unknowingly makes it ready to fire.

One of the greatest definitions of 'design flaw', I have seen in recent memory.

Yeah, this will be my full WOYM

We've been doing this awesome hab' hot sauce in hummus (with cornships). I'm semi-addicted to Lagunitas Little Somethin' Somethin', it's hoppy (64 IBU), but has a sweet, matly wheat, so good.

BA agrees:

But at the moment I'm actually drinking a Jai Alai, straight up amazing IPA :D

It's muggy as hell here, it's 83, feels like showing 91, ugh.

@D.T. You can keep the humidity, enjoy the suds.

Well, I told my supervisor about the contact name bug and apologized. She appreciated that I spoke up and said a software developer is now involved. She reiterated I should be diligent going forward.

Trying not to be annoyed at myself though.

Now wondering what I will eat tonight...It's raining here, hope I beat the heavier rain home.

We've got a bunch of Halloween goodies under construction, hahaha, crank ghosts, spinning spectres, some lighted skulls popping up behind gravestones ... I'm having __way__ too much fun with this :D

Cornships eh? Is that like tortilla chips in the shapes of frigates? Inquiring minds want to know. Well, me and probably @Gutwrench.

LSS is good, but Rhett disagrees. What does he know anyway. :p I thought I had a dozen or so cheaper mass produced beers, as in Pyramid and something else, but I must have drunk those at one point or another. Oh, well, gotta enjoy the good stuff or else you're stuck sharing with people...

Jai Alai? What's that?

It's a nice 95 here. With a very "cool" 67 tonight at around 2 AM... :(

Depending on how you feel about cannibalism, perhaps the person at work who screwed you over?

Hahaha, wow, I'm usually good for a review before posting ... :D

I figure Cornships are the same as DoritoBoats? MaizeTrains? FritoBuses???

I was originally going to go with Bugles, but I'm pretty sure 90% of this forum wouldn't get it because they're too young. Not a fan of Fritos except for those honey BBQ screw shaped ones. I've only seen a few big bags of the stuff before, at Costco, mind you.

I like Costco's chips sizes because it's a lot and they always have a few organic varieties on top of what they would normally carry. I'll usually clean out the shelves if they have certain chips in specific flavors, like sour cream and cheddar Ruffles.

Edit: You'd probably love Trader Joe's giant Incan corn.

Was craving an Almond Joy after dinner. Thought the thee large bags I picked up from the store for Halloween had them and made a move only to find they don't. Drat!

All my plans are falling apart now, at least the sun is out today.

Anyway, I know what Bugles are @Zenithal and you may be surprised to learn we can get them here. An occasional break from my occasional bag of chips (crisps for our UK friends).

Wondering about your current avatar @kazmac , because the headdress is quite odd and reminds me of an Orthodox patriarch's hat.

Current avatar is a ghostly version of Guan Yu as seen in the 2012 movie The Assassins. In this scene Guan Yu's headdress is similar to those that the Orthodox patriarchs wear.

Guan Yu's headdress is generally green, but white can mean death in China and since Cao Cao believes Guan Yu's ghost will come back to kill him, white makes sense.

That said, there are(?*) Eastern Orthodox clerics in China.

*At least there were Orthodox clerics in China when I did research on Orthodox clergy for my Russian priest character 15-18 years ago (I need to dust this character off).

Long winded ramble ends :)

Ich bin wieder da...

It's been anything but fun, Ms. lowendlinux fell down the stairs and broke one ankle and sprained the other so she can't walk. The army still hasn't transferred me from the states to Germany so I'm not sure I'll get paid and I still can't get an ID card/license. I can't seem to find a place to live they're either to big, to small, or in the middle of the hour commute zone.

I'm a whole bunch of sorry I took this job right now but there are some folks leaving that should mean another promotion but I'm very ready to just buy an old diesel hooptie and make the two hour one way drive.

So I had ordered a bunch of replacement parts - bearings and sprayers for our GE Profile dishwasher, it's old, but was hanging in ...

Got the parts, but hadn't gotten around to it, so the box was open, but none of the individual bags were. Then, out of the blue, it fried, during that tropical storm the other day that passed through a few days ago - main control panel not lighting, long, continuous tone - so that combined with me not using the parts yet, and this really needing a full on refresh ... parts went back to AppliancePartsPros (who I highly recommend BTW).

So, we've been shopping dishwashers! For the last decade, all I've heard is Bosch, even if you go matching with other appliances, source your DW from Bosch - well, the reviews are off the charts, 4.6-4.8 on various sites (HD, Lowes, ABT, BestBuy, etc.), so we just scored a new 300 Series, recessed handle/hidden controls, full stainless, 3 rack, quiet 44db, non-heat coil based drying so it won't decimate plastics.

Weekend project :D So I guess it's ghosts and dishwashers, hahaha!

You're right I just wish the flop would go my way this time but I guess I'm out of luck...I'll find a house and the Army will fix my paperwork but none of it will happen on my time, you'd think that at 20 years in I'd get that but as a nice older lady said yesterday " I'm to in the field" for it to be acceptable.

I'll just enjoy my hotel and drive my wife's car and happy while subduing my desire to throttle people ;)

Sorry to hear that. But think of all that German beer ahead!

Two ankles out of action? That’s a tough break.

Hope Missues Lowendlinux heals quickly and you find a great home in Germany.

Trying assist mom's friend with questions for her attorney re: medical malpractice (Coworker mentioned we need to find out if mom signed any kind of waivers before this botched partial hip replacement.

I do not believe in law suits unless absolutely necessary, this one is absolutely necessary.

Anyway, all else is well. Just waiting to get home so I can help mom, and then set up iPad Air 3 so I can draw digitally again. The art has bern very helpful for me emotionally. I've tried drawing traditional, but I do much better digitally and stick with it.

Good luck with the law suit. They most certainly can be necessary. No doctor should be above the law.

I don't think anyone could confuse you for a spring chicken, Decaf.
Thinking more of my location rather than age. ;) Bugles are not as well known in Europe as tortilla chips. Latter very popular, the same grocery store (CooP) that carries them also has a terrific type of blue corn tortilla chip. Dammit not only insomnia but now craving salty snacks.
