It was definitely a thing back in the day. Sometime in the late 90s when they all but disappeared on shelves here for some reason I picked up a box of Chex cereal because I'd seen the ads on some VHS I'd rented or a TV ad, anyway, the texture and taste reminded me of the Bugles granted this was plain Chex baked with seasoning. There was some product one of the chip giants made or still makes and the bag was white and red, and it was a puffed chip sort of like Bugles but not actually Bugles, because it wasn't made from corn.Has everyone that's eaten Bugles, made "Bugle fingers" ? I would assume so![]()
Drawing has definitely helped my mood and my get up and go in the a.m.
Glad I decided to do that again this morning instead of catching crack of dawn train.
I am buying bagels for my department this a.m. Debating if I will get a bagel for myself too.
Glad to hear that, creative outlets or are good for improving one's mood.Drawing has definitely helped my mood and my get up and go in the a.m.

This is terrific, reaching students is very gratifying. Not really a fan of bagels - (unless smothered in smoked salmon and cream cheese) I find them very hard to actually eat, though I don't doubt how heathy they may be.
Last night, I gave a talk (on history) to the local history society in the suburb where my brother lives, and it went down gratifyingly well, to the extent that an immediate return invitation was issued.
Local kids - protégés of the history teacher in the local school, also gave a short presentation, and it is lovely to see kids - particularly girls - speaking in public about stuff such as history with knowledge and enthusiasm (and an impressive mastery of social media); one of them was a girl with Chinese ancestry and to hear her complete command of English, and passionate enthusiasm for the history of the place where she lives was an utter delight.
Anyway, I have been asked (by the history teacher) to give a presentation to some of her history students in the local school and I was delighted to accept; date and time will be confirmed in due course.

Glad it went well. I’m sure it was well researched and delivered. Not really a fan of bagels - (unless smothered in smoked salmon and cream cheese) I find them very hard to actually eat, though I don't doubt how heathy they may be.

Enjoy your bagels. Mrs AFB used to eat cinnamon and raisin bagels. But she can’t these days.Drawing has definitely helped my mood and my get up and go in the a.m.

This is a serious problem. No coffee at work!!! Help meeeeeee!
Good points bagel. I've cut way back and prefer muffins these days. But a legit fresh bagel is wonderful. Though not with cream cheese (Do not like cc) - they slathered cream cheese on both instead of butter on mine. Wiped most of the cream cheese off...Not a fan of bagels here.....I find most of them too hard to chew and even the softer ones are a bit of a challenge. Actually, in general I'm not much of a bread person anyway, but once in a while will have an English muffin with peanut butter and jam on it as a change for breakfast.
Gutwrench, your question about dyslexia suggests that either you or someone you know may be having issues of some sort.....my recommendation would be to check things out with your doctor.
I’m dyslexic. Spell check is a godsend.I’ll google this when time permits, but can one develop dyslexia as they age? 😢
I see someone's seen the Tom Hanks interview. This is a serious problem.
Quick! Someone get this man a COFFEE and stat!
Huh, nope haven't seen that. I'm just a person who knows the value of coffee and when someone is without it, it's like being without air.
