Well, we couldn't locate Thai basil leaves so are ignoring that ingredient. Hopefully it is not a major link to success. In about 5 hours I will know. After an Asian warm duck salad starter.

Well, while lemongrass and lime leaves are easily enough located (these days), in my corner of north west Europe, Thai basil is not, but I doubt that this will be detrimental to the final dish, which should be lovely with coconut milk, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, lime leaves, chilli and Thai fish sauce.

Those are stunning.

Thank you for sharing them.

And I wish everyone in this thread a very Happy 2020.

🥳
Likewise my cool avatar friend and tou your family. I already wished friends and former classmates/colleagues a Happy 2020 in Australia and Japan.

Happy New Year to all the MR forum, even the PRSI regulars and those on the Android forum. :p

Yes, I know that time is arbitrary, mere notional numbers, and both subjective (especially if you look at what Einstein had to say about it), and multi-dimensional, but, having left my mother behind forever in 2018, I feel the ever widening gulf of the passage of time this evening, as we leave 2019, and are about to enter 2020.

I am definitely planning to have the TV on a few moments before midnight so that I can watch the crystal ball drop..... I've been doing that for years and always get a kick out of it. I hate all the nonsense of the "entertainment" that precedes it, so skip that and just wait for the main event, the changing from one year to the next.

I'm against this forced upgrade to a new year. We should be able to keep using whatever year works best for each person.

I say we boycott Apple Kronos until things change.

Someone is probably going to point out the logical conundrum that without the passage of time things can't change, but that's just linear thinking. Jeremy Bearimy would like a word with you.

Are the Australians the beta testers?

Just walk faster. About 186,000 miles per second faster and time will stop for you, no problem.

It's all relative anyhow.

For most peeps here the winter solstice will have that up slope feeling. Every day could be another 2-4 min of day light depending how far up north you live.
i actually googled this and dont really care.

best of luck for the new year tho
