A good caddy is indeed more than just a porter; more importantly, they are watching and are ready with the next desired tool at hand so that the golfer doesn't even have to ask for it....kind of like a well-orchestrated surgical team in the OR, where the surgeon puts out his hand and someone slaps the right instrument into it immediately.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but Christopher Nolan is overrated. Inception, Interstellar, Dark Knight Rises didn’t do much for me. I only really liked The Dark Knight, and even that felt like it dragged on. Maybe it’s just my short attention span, but all his movies are so slow.

I now live up on the hills in the suburbs of Cincinnati and I have to say I've never been more grateful of this fact as I have over the last few years.

Sure my neighborhood dates back to the early 1960s, but I sleep well at night knowing that floods are one of the last things we have to worry about these days...
My parents' house is the last place that would ever flood. Every road goes down from their street, and there is tons of drainage in the entire development.

3 little mice newspapers

As mentioned several days ago in our discussions about newspapers, I subscribe to my two local papers in the county. They're fairly small publications compared to larger ones in big cities and national papers.

One of my papers comes out on Sunday and Wednesday and the other only once per week on Wednesday's.

This morning I decided to pick up a copy of the Detroit Free Press while I was at the grocery store. That's a much larger publication than my local ones.

I started to get into it this afternoon and got through one article before work took my attention away for the rest of the afternoon. But I did read my local Sunday paper and due to COVID-19, my last Wednesday paper today. I have them delivered to the office and it came in the mailbox on Saturday.

The US Mail is delivering the locals right now since the paperboys aren't delivering due to COVID-19.

Nonetheless, reading those papers today was great. The Detroit Free Press has a large Sunday paper and it will take me a short while to get through it and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. Reading, holding, feeling and smelling it is such a wonderful experience compared to reading it though pixels on the screen.

I just finished reading the smaller paper a few minutes ago sitting in my nice big chair at home and it felt like the good 'ol days again.

Next time you‘re in the grocery store please say hello to Mr Drucker for me.

I love there was a show, about three young ladies ... who lived in ... Hooterville.

Side note: in researching this bit of comedy gold, I had no idea that Petticoat Junction, Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies took place in the same television universe ... mind blown o_O

Speaking of crazy, bought a 8 lb container of the stuff a certain Italian member just loves to eat a lot which I shall not mention as it starts urging him to gorge on the stuff.

Pumpkin pie filling?
No..... Those are usually 10 lb cans, though. The Libby's ones at least. Seen it a few times in stores. Pure pumpkin is 5 lb or so. Decent if you want to cook it down yourself to make pumpkin butter.

Went to the dentist.

I figured: 1) "clinical" protocols in place, 2) direct exposure was limited, 3) I have some minimum health requirements, and now I'm in total lock down again

Mask in and out (only removed in the chair), temp check at the door, required hand wash, all staff with masks, admin with additional plexi barriers, masks/gloves, even pens in the sign in area disposed.

And now for something completely different ...

Since my last "free" electric motors post, the same people are giving away every item under that canopy in ascending order.

I'm predicting "Free grimy wooden frame" is next.

I'm having some minor cabin fever right now. My trips outside were infrequent before the pandemic, and now they're more so given I am only going outside for essential activities, so I'm a bit tired of being cooped up in my home. Which is frankly not that bad to begin with. I own a 2,000 sq ft home with a fantastic view of the mountains, and yet I wish this pandemic had not occurred. It pains me because gone are my little trips to Little Tokyo in LA. Gone are my odd excursions to Tustin, CA for the Micro Center. Much has been taken by this pandemic and it is distressing. I know it's for the best that I remain indoors, I know it is good that I restrict my time outside to essentials, but gosh do I miss just screwing around on a small day trip to look at stuff and take in the atmosphere.

With the likes of Nordstrom making more in the last week or so, versus the same time last year, surely has to say things are changing.

What's on my mind:
All those affected by Covid19, could be seeing a profitable change coming very 'soon'.
