Dinner, and a debate.

The debate concerns dinner and whether I should order a takeaway, or prepare spaghetti carbonara (I realised that I have everything I need close to hand).

Watched I’m Thinking of Ending Things tonight. It was incredibly Lynchian but with more payoff than I’d expect.

Why my internal body clock can’t be changed as easily as the other clocks. Wide awake at 6 am on a Sunday morning because I think it’s 7 am.

I was sound asleep under blankets and duvets.

But, the night the clocks go back is one of my east favourite days (or nights) of the entire year, not least because it signals the formal onset of winter, a season of dreary darkness, with limited natural light, a time of cold, wet, windy, miserable weather (and worse, sometimes comes complete with snow and ice).

The only thing that is wonderful about this neighborhood are the Blue Jays.

Saw a beautiful, fluffed up Jay in our front tree last night. So this and hearing Jay calls I hadn’t heard in at least a month was the bright spot of a weekend I’d rather forget.

The birds are a constant source of delight aren't they? Keep us sane (just about!).

Sorry your weekend wasn't great. Mine hasn't finished yet as I'm off today. Just about to head out with the camera once I have finished my tea.

Yes, birds are wonderful. Hearing a Jay now (they are very active after it rains). Hoping to see one or two today.

Congrats on the long weekend. Looking forward to seeing your photos.

I am almost pondering upgrading my 2020 SE to an iPhone 12 Pro to take photos/video of the Jays, as the SE is not cutting it. Need a new Mac first though.

May you enjoy your day off.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

On my mind every day. COVID-19 is not the problem. Stupid is the problem. Face mask, face shield, wash hands regularly. Been doing it for 7 months in Manila. Let's say the Government is out of whack by 100% with their track and trace numbers and live coronavirus cases. Would still be less than the UK for total infected and deaths.

Please continue to debate about face masks and face shields while we in Asia continue to save lives.

I think part of the issue is in Asia people are used to wearing face masks when they are in public places or ill.
However there is also plenty of stupid here (and other places)!

Two visits from our local Blue Jays earlier today. 💙💙💙

One flew into our front tree, cawed and left.

Then a bit later, two of them were in the tree along with another bird. One Jay did the rusty gate call which got rid of the other bird. The second Jay was too busy preening itself to notice. 😂. Jay #1 hopped over its preening friend and flew away. The preening Jay hung around for another minute before doing the same.

And my SE was upstairs by the computer both times. 🙄

@Apple fanboy how did your photography session go today?

Mixed. Lighting wasn’t great for the most part. Plus it rained. I’ve not looked at them yet as I came home and did some gardening. Then I had a meeting for work I needed to attend.
Shall look later.

Blue tits were attacking our brick work earlier. Not sure why they do that.
