undoubtful
I am not a big fan of Christmas, or even Winter, myself.
And I have no disagreement with what you say. But the problem is not the 25th of December. The problem is not the holiday season. The problem for those above that you mention is much much deeper, and me being "a little more mindful of them" for a week in December will not make much of a difference; by the way, I never said to not be mindful of them as I never said that everyone should cheer Christmas by default.
The problem is that people don't think about the problem you mention for the remaining 364 days a year or so (not realizing that a person we middle finger for some traffic related issue might be exactly one middle finger away from doing something terrible), exactly as people don't care about helping the homeless if not during Thanksgiving week (all those selfies at homeless shelters...). Me not celebrating and not cheering Christmas (or whatever you prefer) in its fullest will not change things one iota if not making me more stressed out, and possibly more depressed myself which in turn will make me worse than what I could be, which in turn will make me less effective in the long term towards the rest of the community.
